A mere 3 minutes walk from the famous Puerto Banus, and the golden beaches of Marbella, lies the La Alcazaba development with it's lush well renowned tropical gardens. Nestled in the far corner away from the hustle and bustle of the pool is a very spacious well appointed 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom (sleeps 5) top floor, corner apartment with a large terrace overlooking the treetops. The apartment has air conditioning and heating throughout along with an open plan living area, television with Sky, DVD and surround sound Hi-Fi system. fully equipped kitchen and laundry room. There are 4 large interconnecting pools, including one for children and babies. 2 on-site restaurants, an indoor health club, 24 hour security and reception. Private parking. Excellent shops and restaurants very close by, tennis club next door and more than 20 world renowned golf courses in the vicinity.

We have just installed a super duper 40 Meg high speed internet connection to the apartment, which so fast that all the TV is now run through it... Say goodbye to the typical dreadful internet connection in Spain which started to become almost unusable, particularly if you wanted to do some work while on holiday. There is also now free wifi around the pool, so you will never be out of touch..

Tranquil complex

Very relaxing stay, lovely view over the gardens, great bistro on site. Walk to everywhere, near to supermarkets, restaurants and the beach, would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay at an amazing property. The penthouse really had everything we needed and more. With two teenagers it was big enough for them to be self contained. Manicured lawns and stunning pool too. One small gripe was the charge for the gym and sun loungers. Doesn’t detract from just how stunning this property is though.

Thank you for your review. As they say Location Location Location. In the 30 odd years that we have been going to Puerto Banus we have only ever hired a car once to go exploring into the mountains. Otherwise everything is within very easy walking distance, beach, shops, restaurants, supermarket, Puerto Banus yachting harbour, night clubs, hospital, all 5 minutes walk away, and still be within your 5 acres of tropical gardens. If you are feeling really energetic you can always hire a bicycle (or electric bike, etc ) and cycle along the sea path to Marbella every morning like my wife. With a 24 hour reception, they can always call a taxi, which arrives within minutes. Even Cortes Ingles, the huge local department store will delivery your groceries to your door for free.

Perfect location and lovely apartment

We had fantastic stay in a very interesting and homely apartment. The apartment is close to the beach, restaurants and shops. There is a lovely pool in the resort, with friendly staff to assist at all times. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed our stay

We occupied the premise for one week. The grounds and pool were beautiful! Very convenient to the beach and Marina at Puerto Banus. This area was great to visit several towns within 1 1/2 hour drive! We notified the owner of a couple kitchen issues which she acknowledged. Loved the outdoor covered veranda with views of the manicured gardens, pool and mountains.

Stayed here with a 6 & 4 year old plus a newborn infant for 4 weeks and it was very homely. The pool was fab and so was the food at the pool bar with a great menu and reasonable prices.Very pretty gardens which kept the kids busy when they were out of the pool. Lots of families around so plenty of children for the kids to make friends with.Only home comfort we missed was a BBQ, addition of a BBQ to the outside area would have been wonderful.The only thing that caught us off guard was the charges for sun loungers, not a lot but when staying for 28 days adds up. Not entirely sure a wheelchair user would be able to get in and out of the urbanisation easily as we occasionally bumped the pram up or down a few steps.Car park had free spaces 27 out of the 28 days we were there, maybe someone was having a party! A really great place and a fab time was had.

Lovely apartment with a great location

Winter Holiday in Banus

We spent 9 days around Christmas in La Alcazaba and can highly recommend it. The apartment was well equipped and very clean. The contact to Suze and Rod was top. Quick answers on questions, detailled information about how everything worked, a welcome call on our arrival day, deposit paid back immediately upon return - Thank you.

Perfect

The title says it all. The property is absolutely beautiful in every way. The decor is superb and the outdoor seating area is like a tropical wonderland. The grounds and salt water pool are stunning , couple that with the excellent on site restaurant and friendly staff, this property has it all. Communication with the owner, Suze, was brilliant, who put us in contact with Walter, for transport from/to the airport. Walter being very reliable and such a nice person. Perfect location close to all amenities. We will definitely be going back to this property again. I can’t rate it highly enough.

Wow!!!...Spacious, Modern, Beautiful Penthouse

All in all this is without a doubt a 5 Star accommodation. I travelled to Puerto Banus with My Wife and 3 children (2 Boys- 6&4 and a 18 month year old baby). I researched long and hard to find just the right accommodation, location & amenities etc. This property definitely delivered and some. Lovely service, the owners were very helpful and provided a prompt, secure and easy process. The Apartment is walking distance from the wonderful harbour/Seafront and all the shops/bars/amenities. There is WIFI, TV's/DVD's etc, the Kitchen is fabulous (very high standard). The apartment is very spacious and feels like a "home from home", everything You would and need for your holiday. The complex is very secure and the gardens/pools are great.

Beautifully presented property in a great location

We have just returned from a lovely week in the sun at this fantastically presented and comfortable apartment which is right in the heart of things. The accommodation is beautiful and spacious with a great terrace which gets a lovely through breeze which is much appreciated! The apartment is all set up with great technology - we didn't use the TV at all during the week (we don't tend to when on holiday) but the wifi is very good and received much use particularly from the younger folk we had with us. Beach is within easy walk and lots of space to choose from. We used the pool a fair bit too which is clean and well maintained. Slight frustration that we needed to pay for beds as an extra but it didn't overall put us off going to the pool and the lifeguard was flexible and didn't charge us on our last day as we were only there until just after lunch. Overall we had a great time helped by the beauty of the apartment and its setting and also the owner's helpful advice in the documentation provided and in response to our queries ahead of our trip.

Yes they do make a small charge for beds, this is really to ensure that the pool, sun beds etc are always in tip top condition, replacing them every few years, which other development just don't do, all part and parcel of making sure everything, gardens etc are always looking their best.

We can recommend this apartment for your holiday!

The apartment has a very central location, it takes 5 min and you are in the center of Puerto Banus. The surrounding is quiet with a FANTASTIC garden! It is like a botanical garden with lovely flowers, trees, fountains and the best of all, in the evenings you can hear the sounds of birds and frogs fom the terrace! The terrace is very well maintained with nice flowers. There are also a great pool in the garden area.The apartment was the very best for us. We always rent an apartment because we have a foodallergic son. The kitchen is very fresh with all important equipment included an induction stove,dishwasher and washingmachine. The furnishing in Indian style is lovely! Both bathrooms are very clean and the towels are in the very best quality. In our sleeping room we had a fan that we used some times because the location in the building made it not so warm that we needed the air condition ( but every room had air con if you wanted it). When you went shopping you had a wagon in the wardrobe to bring home the groceries in! So we can really recommend this place for your holiday! We come from Sweden and we will absolutely return!

Spacious, balcony, beach, restaurants and shops

Treetops is all that you see from the photos. A very spacious apartment with everything that you need. Not overlooked and tucked away in the corner. Huge balcony area for eating and sunbathing right outside your bedroom if your prefer! King size bed (with some interesting elephant wall art that my daughter asked about!!) and two twins There is a tv but who needs one on holiday! Air Con. Fully equipped kitchen including a Krups coffee machine which was great for making cold coffees after a hot day! We used the beach every day. 5 min walk. Bought 2 beach chairs and an umbrella as sun beds a bit pricy. Waves were great fun. We didn’t use the apartment pool. Be warned people must be up early reserving their beds with towels sadly. Beautiful mature gardens. 10 min walk to El Corte Ingles which is an amazing store and it also has a supermarket. 10 min walk to all restaurants and shops. You certainly don’t need a car. Taxis are also cheap. We used Suzes recommendation for the airport. She was also helpful with our questions for our stay and sorted out anything for us via email quickly. The apartment is rustic and plenty to look at. Beach towels also provided. Definitely make sure you don’t leave any food out as the ants magically find their way to the top floor in minutes!! (We we’re warned by Suze!!) Definitely recommend the apartment. Last year we stayed ultra modern and this year rustic with charm. Both as good as each other. Thank you for our stay Suze.

Les bâtiments commencent à accuser le poids des années, mais cela ajoute un certain charme.Et les soins apporté à l’entretien, notamment le parc paysager qui est magnifique, en font un c Cadre idyllique pour un séjour détente.Le principal inconvénient est la proximité avec l’autoroute.

Thank you for your review, it is sad that they built the moterway so close to the sea, port and our apartment the only good thing is it now only takes 40 minutes from the airport instead of 90 minutes sitting in traffic. Best wishes Suze

Great Location

Excellent resort for adults and kids and within 10 mins walking distance to port and beach . Pool area great , with a fantastic restaraunt and clean safe pool area. Accommodation was spacious and had ample storage with a nice outdoor area for alfresco dining. Kitchen well equipped with everything you need. The property itself is Rustic and whilst adequately furnished , maybe needs updating a little , for example the TV is 32 inch which is too small for such a large living space. Internet is excellent and has been upgraded . Our hot water stopped working but after a call to Suzi it was resolved very quickly. My honest opinion was the property was good value for money but just needs upgraded slightly. Great Host and I would 100% come back to Alcazabra.

Thank you for the lovely review. Appreciate your comments re TV. We haven't been able to get out to Spain now for almost 2 years because of the pandemic, VERY FRUSTRATING !!!! bit of a challenge relying on our non English speaking house keeper, who has recently decided that guests shouldn't have the best linen etc, only us !!! Normally we go out twice a year to check everything out, looking forward to going out this August.
