Thank you very much for your kind review, we would like to let you know that we have now completely updated the villa - new kitchen, bathrooms, all flooring and furnishings. We have also now traced the pool leak and had this fixed, so this longer causes an issue. Take a look at our updated listing, we would love to welcome you back some time.

We are truly disappointed that you were not happy with your stay, we strive to keep our villa updated and well managed, and love it as our second home, other guests who have stayed recently have reported a 5-star experience. With regards to check-in information the guest used a hidden Apple email address to sign up to VRBO with which resulted in emails we sent not being received. We send a comprehensive welcome book to give guests lots of information for their stay, previous guests have really appreciated this. We also prepay for an access card for Emerald Island and the confirmation of this needs to be emailed, our guests are usually grateful for this additional perk. The guest reported dust on the top of a ceiling fan and some dirt on the rubber seal inside the washing machine shortly after arrival, we had our cleaner return to the villa that evening to correct these issues and any other areas of concern. The guest continued to message us stating there were many issues, but despite being asked several times did not tell us what these issues were, making it impossible for us to remedy. The guest then advised us that their party had severe allergies, and as we do not want any guests to be unhappy, we offered a significant refund if they wanted to check out early, which was accepted. The review, however, does not make mention of these allergies. We arrived at the villa ourselves a couple of weeks later and were pleased to find that it was very clean and the washing machine was spotless. The toaster was not working, but had we been told about this, it would have been replaced the same day by our management company, it has now been replaced. The beds and mattresses were all brand new in November 2024 and new towels were purchased in November 2025. The man on the patio (lanai) would have been the pool man, who comes once a week to ensure the pool is kept clean, as is common with all pool homes. All reviews we have received (on the other leading platform) since this stay have been 5 star and some have particularly mentioned how clean the villa was.

Thank you for your review and feedback. Having visited the villa ourselves during late summer we decided to completely update the villa. This renovation is now complete and includes new kitchen, bathrooms, all flooring, redecoration and furnishings. We have also taken this opportunity to change management companies to ensure that the villa is always cleaned to a high standard. The WiFi code was sent to you in the same email as the check-in instructions and we would have been happy to help you with this, if you had contacted us.
