Villa La Colmena is a superb, charming villa situated in the residential area 'Mas Pere' of Calonge just 5 minutes drive into the village and 8 minutes drive from Sant Antoni de Calonge Beach or Palamos Beach. It has a fantastic garden 600 m2 - privacy - and a large HEATED pool (10x5m) . The villa is very spacious with on the ground floor lounge and dining room, open kitchen,2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms + separate WC, large terrace + BBQ and a 3rd tower-bedroom with bathroom and its own large terrace with sea view till Palamos. The separated studio has its own entrance and a living room with a double bed + 1 bedroom with 4 seperated beds + bathroom, kitchen and terrace.
The villa has also a large garage and a car-port. FREE USE OF INTERNET - WIFI


Further details:: Calonge is a beautiful, rustic, Catalan village only 2.5km from the Mediterranean, Sant Antonio Beach, Palamos - the well known port and Playa d'Aro - the famous lively town are only 10min by car.

Airports + by car:: The nearest airport is Gerona 35 kilometres and the international airports of Barcelona and Perpignan are 100 kms.
Calais-Calonge = 1.311 kms [12 hours drive].
Ryanair and other low-cost companies are flying to Gerona , Barcelona and Perpignan from all European countries!

Villa:: The villa is ideal for a big family or two families or a group of friends. The maximum occupation is 12 persons , 8 adults and 4 children. If there are only adults = MAXIMUM 8 ADULTS

Our office Al Vent will welcome you and will give you all information about our house.
The Catalan government asks a tourist tax for all guest older then 16 years = 2 € / day (max. For 7 days) . The total amount must be paid upon arrival at our office . Since 2025 there are new Spanish rules for tourists upon arrival in the country.

Exactly as described. Fully equipped with everything you need. The swimming pool is a perfect size and was kept clean the whole of our 3 week stay. The location is perfect for shops, restaurants and beaches. Communications with the host was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful holiday

My friends and I had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful and is perfectly suited to accommodate 8 people. The surroundings are very quiet. The pool is perfectly heated. Even if the house does not have air conditioning, it has a multitude of fans that are available to us

Love it !

We had a great 2 week vacation. A real spanish house, spacious, cozy and a great garden surrounded by trees. The swimmingpool was the centre of our social events. Should not forget to mention that Calonge is a typical spanish village with a great bakery, butcher, supermarket and restaurant with terrace. The owners are open to answer questions which is helpful. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

Fantastic stay

We have just come back from La Colmena and it was fantastic. The house is as described and the swimming pool was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed eating around the large table on the balcony and the views from the tower balcony were excellent. Our only issue with the property was that there were 2 single beds in one of the double rooms. The excellent WIFI was also a bonus for film watching on a very wet day. The area is very quiet and it was nice to be away from all the crowds yet be able to access supermarkets, beaches and attractions easily although it is essential to have a car. The owner was also a pleasure to deal with and was very helpful even organsing us a small food basket for when we arrived as the shops were shut. Overall a great holiday and an excellent place to stay.

Just what we were looking for!

We stayed one week in the villa Colmena in May 2013.(10-17th ) The place was just what we needed to rest and prepare ourselves for the final celebration of wedding in Barcelona at the end of the week. We found everything what we needed in the group of 10 family members between 21-60 years old, coming from different countries here( Germany,Poland,USA ) : a lot of place in the big house and full independence for everybody, beautiful garden and extraordinary tranquillity of the place. We didn't care about strange in this region weather condition and low temperatures this year. The villa was good prepared and is technically good equipped with everything what we needed -functionally almost perfect . It is not a 5 stars hotel but a living dynamic house . It was an excellent base for our escapades to Gerona, Barcelona and many other smaller Cities. It was a great time for us and we would come here surely again!

Schönes Haus gut ausgestattet toller Urlaub

Schöne Villa

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in der Villa, sehr Private Lage wo man alles geniessen kann.. der Garten und der Pool waren sehr gross und läd zum entspannen ein. Einziger negativer Punkt sind die Strassen zum Objekt die man dringen reparieren sollte also nichts für tiefe Autos.

Séjour très agréable en famille, nous avons pu profiter de la terrasse et de la piscine fin octobre ! Situation top, au calme, jolie vue. A 15/20 minutes des commerces et très belles plages.Maison un peu vieillissante mais très agréable et fonctionnelle. Petit bémol sur la forte odeur de fioul à l'arrivée dans le logement indépendant qui s'est estompée peu à peu, studio habituellement rarement utilisé en hiver selon l'agence. Nous avons cependant été rassurés rapidement par le propriétaire quant à l'absence de danger (chaudière récente et révisée).Nous gardons l'adresse.

Semana en familia

Hemos estado muy tranquilos en la casa. No hay nada de ruido y hay muchísimo espacio y habitaciones para todos (todas con baño propio). Necesitas coger el coche para ir a cualquier sitio, pero eso ya lo sabíamos. Ya conocíamos la zona así que ningún problema. Está muy cerca de todo tipo de servicios y de muchas playas. Hemos disfrutado mucho.

We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad. De woning heeft wel dringend onderhoud nodig, plavuizen in woonkamer die los liggen, kan je je lelijk aan bezeren. Jammer dat het een 12 persoons huis is en maar 7 ligbedjes heeft bij het zwembad. De auto kon niet in de garage want van het bureau wisten ze niet hoe of dat open ging of het was niet te openen. Ruime vakantiewoning voor meerdere gezinnen

Fijn ruim huis in rustige buurt om met twee gezinnen met oudere kinderen te verblijven. Staat van het huis en zwembad zijn iets gedateerd wat voor ons geen probleem was, maar wel iets om rekening mee te houden.

Super séjour villa cofortable

Séjours avec nos deux filles et gendres et 4 petits enfants ( 3 adolescents et un de 8 ans) maison jolie confortable indépendance studio en bas pour les enfants, une tour indépendante pour un couple et deux chambres chacune salle de bain au rendez chaussée surélevé donnant sur séjour et patio ombragé pour repas piscine et jardin arboré très très agréable Région que nous connaissions déjà ( palamos, calella de palafrugelll, tamarïu begur, pals, aigua blava) de très belles criques aussi ....les plaisirs sont inépuisables ... Tout petit bémol 3 derniers un peu chaotiques chaussée encours de réparation avant arriver villa mais tout à fait faisable doucement Nous avons passe d excellentes vacances Propriétaires très sympathiques et agence locale réactive! Merci!

Attention tromperie sur l’état de la villa

Je tiens à vous faire part de notre mauvaise surprise de l’état de la villa que nous vous avons loué. Voici la liste non exhaustive de nos remarques - il n’y plus de pelouse inexistante ou retournée - une partie des pavés des chemins sont arrachés - les transats sont dans un état pitoyable - les peintures des murs intérieurs et extérieurs sont totalement défraîchies - les douches ne sont pas propres - le bâtiment n’a pas été aéré manifestement depuis des mois - les marches de l’escalier du premier état sont instables Bref l’extérieur n’a pas été entretenu depuis bien longtemps. Au niveau de la piscine, même les échelles sont rouillées et ne tiennent plus, ainsi que les filtres bouchés. L’état de la maison ne correspond pas aux photos de votre annonce, le niveau de prestation n’est pas en adéquation avec le tarif demandé. Dans ces conditions, nous avons le sentiment d’avoir été trompé par l’annonce. nous exigeons de votre part un compensation financière face à l’état général de votre villa qui est présentée sur les photos de manière trompeuse car les photos publiée sont anciennes. Nous ne sommes pas surpris de reçevoir une telle critiqued la part de ce cliënt. Au cours des 20 dernieres années nous n’avons jamais reçu une telle critique ou des clients qui ne cherchaient qu’à obtenir une compensation. Je voudrais tout d’abord faire référence aux familles Gailiunaite et Rommel qui ont séjourner chez nous juste avant vous ètes ont écrit une critique positive !! Dès votre arrivée , vous avez tout critiqué : le fait que l’herbe du jardin ne soit pas en parfait état est évidemment du aux mois de secheresse et à l’interdiction d’utiliser l’eau pour l’arrosage. Trois fois par semaine notre pisciniste vient pour l’entretien de la piscine chauffée, donc celle-ci est certainement OK. Les transats sont en mauvais état : il y en 8 qui sont en parfait état et il y a beaucoup d’autres meubles de jardin pour nos invités. On a laissé les vieux transats en réserve au jardin et naturellement vous prenez une photo de l’un d’eux pour critiquer. La maison est continuellement habitée depuis mi-mai , ainsi votre commentaire que le batiment n’est pas aéré depuis longtemps n’est donc pas correcte. Au printemps un nouveau salon + une nouvelle table et chaises ont été installé et après nous avons ajusté les photos de l’annonce ; aucune de nos photos sont modifiés ou truquées. Dans votre courrier avec des commentaires sur notre annonce vous référez au palmier dans le jardin qui était sur une photo et qui n’est malheureusement plus là maintenant: par la visite du redoutable scarabée rouge il a été détruite et pas encore remplacé… si vous ètes en vacances et que vous jugez necessaire de faire une critique à ce sujet , cela indique clairement quel genre de personne que vous ètes.

Nice place to stay with big family. Big yard with a pool, bbq place, heating pool was 👌 on May.

We lived in this vila for a week. Owners are friendly and very good comunication. Person from agency didn’t know everything about the house. So best way to ask directly for owners. On May a little bit cold to sleep on ground floor. But perfect in tower :) In kitchen you can find all equipment and dishes. It is very good. Calm and very green place to relax without neiborhood. Pool very clean. We used it everyday! So good that it has heating. But it is too deep for small kids. Thank you for Marc! Best wishes!

Magnifique villa

La villa est grande et très jolie. Piscine chauffée la nuit et cadre magnifique avec les lumières. Tout était propre. La villa est proche de la mer, environ 15min en voiture, ou nous avons fait plusieurs activités comme jetski, boué, bateau.. et de plusieurs supermarchés. Quelques points négatifs : toutes les chambres ne sont pas climatisées, et là villa se situe sur une route en très très mauvais état, on doit donc rouler très lentement et faire attention aux roues sur les 2derniers km. Si vous n’arrivez pas à joindre le propriétaire via Abritel, ajoutez son numéro à vos contacts pour le contacter sur whatsapp, c’est ce que j’ai du faire. Mais il a été très sympa, et m’a même envoyé des photos supplémentaires. Finalement, lorsque vous arrivez sur les lieux il faut d’abord se présenter à l’agence Al vent (ils vous contactent et vous donnent toutes les informations nécessaires). Problemas

La casa es muy bonita, aunque tiene algunos problemas. Para acceder a la sala de abajo, el único modo era pasando por el exterior de la casa. Otro problema fue la conexión a Internet, que era penosa. El Wi-Fi iba mal, y no habría importado si no fuese porque no llegaba cobertura prácticamente. La carretera para llegar estaba destrozada, cosa que estaría bien anunciar. El supermercado más cercano está a 10 minutos teóricos, pero con el estado de la carretera ser tardan 30. El único aire acondicionado que había no funcionaba. Uno de los fogones de la cocina no funcionaba. La mayoría de utensilios de cocina estaban sucios, y los tuvimos que lavar. No había ni siquiera sal y aceite. El único congelador que había estaba en el garaje, al que, como he dicho, solo se podía acceder pasando por fuera. Se anuncia que la piscina es climatizada, pues bien, espera 5 días para que suba un solo grado. En una de las habitaciones, la cama estaba aguantada por unos trozos de madera, que en el momento en el que me senté casi me muero de un infarto. Mi conclusión, pero, es que si quieres pasar una semana de descanso en una casa sin moverte de ahí, y llegas bien preparado con comida suficiente (y antimosquitos), con películas descargadas y tiempo libre, esta casa es para ti. Pese a los problemas nombrados, la casa es muy bonita, y agradable de estar en ella. La recomendaría si no se pretende ir a la playa y solo se pretende descansar.

Hola Pau, Thanks for your rating of 4 stars for our house. The mainhouse is on streetlevel and the studio + garage on gardenlevel , so you have to use the stairs outside to go to the studio - I don’t understand that’s a problem for you : we have 3 refrigerators in the house and the largest one with freezer is in the garage so I suppose that’s OK for a vacation-stay. We agree that the road to our house + the Wi Fi Connexion is a problem ; since more then 15 years the city of Calonge promise to renew our streets + sewegesystem+ electricity & telecommunication, etc. and in September they will start - see Www.calonge.cat - article of 30/6/2021 . But even with the bad roads it’s a 10 minute drive to the Spar Supermarket. We were in our house beginning of June and everything was clean and no problem with the bed : we’ve received a message from our maintenanceteam they had to do a reparation of the bed : sorry for that. Beginning of June our pool had 28 ° C. : the heater stands on 29 and gives 28 and you can put it on 30 degrees !!! Never we had a remark about the temperature of the water - our Poolman is coming 3 times a week to be sure that the pool is always in a perfect condition. Best regards , Marc Dejaeger

Prachtige locatie lekker op een heuvel met veel groen. Alleen de weg is minder . We hebben heerlijk genoten van de villa , was lekker groot zwembad verwarmd. Is echt een aanrader

Calme et tranquillité

Location conforme à la description- jolie piscine chauffée !! accès difficile : route en très mauvais état et abords de la route pas entretenu. Nous avons passé un séjour agréable, au calme dans un endroit tranquille.
