The Perfect Getaway!

We absolutely LOVED our stay in PCB! The condo was perfect, amazing ocean views, and the perfect room for our little one. The espresso machine was the extra touch that mama needed on this vacation. This property is like its own resort right on the beach. Perfect for families! 10/10 will stay here again on our next trip to Florida :)

Even better than the pics!

Absolutely the best view ever!! Our kids are 15 & 20. They loved it. The Murphy bed was a bonus! Nonstop views and ocean air. The property has long waits for the elevator, but we are patient people. The elevator is the only downside, but the condo was perfect! Definitely recommend. Will visit again!

We loved the unit and access to the beach and pool. Also a Circle K is in walking distance. The Bar and food hut by the pool were both delicious. And a big surprise to me…my boyfriend of 8 years proposed!!

Amazing Room

The room was perfect and really nice. There were so many extras provided and the view from the balcony was great! The buildings elevators were terrible and one kept breaking but that’s not the Condo Owners fault. The pool was amazing! We will definitely be back!

We had a great time!! Property was very nice. I booked the condo on a Monday with arrival on a Tuesday. (Last minute trip) our property manager was Awesome since it was such short notice. We will definitely be back.

Panama Beach Stay Experience

The stay was overall positive. The only thing is the elevators take forever to get on and off of especially if you stay at the top floors of the building. It’s just extremely busy , so many people staying there. I will say, this is not your typical family oriented hang out, there is a lot of younger people that hang out over here in Panama period! I think Destin and Fort Walton are your more family friendly destinations. We had a great time of course , would recommend for older kiddos not the littles, just my opinion. Thanks!

Clean with a view!

The location and view was amazing. Communication was top tier with the property manager. Parking was a little tricky at first but got the hang of it once you know where your spot is and the layout. Issues with the building (NOTHING to do with the VRBO property owner): Wish they had more elevators. To have as many condos as SOP does and only 4 elevators is a bit of a pain during high traffic times. I'm not sure what the policies are for the property regarding marijuana, but every time we walking around the property there were areas that smelled like it. Back to the condo... It was super clean and the beds were comfy. We would most likely stay there again regardless of the property issues listed. If you head to Pineapple Willy's (highly recommend), ask for Murray!

Nice condo wonderful views, horrible resort staff

Condo was clean and beautiful. Wonderful views. Condo is fully equipped with everything you need for a wonderful stay. I do need to say the resort staff were rude and lazy. I went to get resort packet and was grreted by a very rude, rude did i say rude employee at the desk. She refused to help me bc i did not rent from them. We were given bracelets to wear that sported a $100fine if we lost but yet they did not work. I asked for new ones and was told "there was plenty of security and i could ask one of them to open a gate if needed". So not able to go on beach after "security" was not at beach gate. We had to wait every time we left and get out of the van and go ask someone to come open the gate (they were not happy about and very rude).

Great condo, family friendly

Condo was as advertised and very clean and inviting. We very much enjoyed our stay! The only negative was the elevator situation was a mess, as there was always one not working. That required a bit of patience but obviously out of the condo owners control and for sure did not take away from the great time we had. Would definitely stay again!

Family Vacation

The condo was clean but really old and had uncomfortable furniture and beds. We also had to go to the sore immediately because there was absolutely nothing in the unit. There was a half of roll of TP in each bathroom, no trash bags, one dishwasher tablet......The building overall was terrible. It is a 23 story building and not enough elevators or amenities to accommodate that many people. The unit we stayed in was on the 22nd floor . It took an average of 15-20 minutes to ride the elevator. Sometimes the line for an elevator was 20 people deep and of course it stopped on every floor. The pictures of the pool look fantastic. We were never able to get a chair or spot by the pool because there were all taken by 9:00 am. It also cost $45 a day to rent an umbrella.

Good morning Laurel - I'm so sad to hear you didn't enjoy your beach visits. This unit has some of the most amazing ocean views in the building and looks exactly as advertised. I will definitely let the owners know that you were unhappy with their furnishings. We are always looking for good feedback to better our properties. The master bed is newer, but I will have that checked immediately! My cleaners are supposed to leave one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, to kindly get you started, along with one roll of paper towel, one dishwasher and laundry tablet, dish and hand soap and a garbage bag. This gives you time to get to the store if you did not bring anything along. This was clearly mentioned in your rental agreement. This is a common practice within condo rentals verses hotel rooms. I am very approachable and would have helped you if you were missing something. Customer service to my guests has always been my #1 priority which you can see from my reviews. The beach chair rentals have always been between $40-$45 for a double lounger with cushions and an umbrella. This is a beach company separate from us. Some guests bring their own loungers to save money. Although there are 6 elevators in the building, they are unfortunately much slower this time of year due to the amount of people visiting the beach during the spring and summer months. Many of the resorts in the area have this issue. I sure wish we had a solution for this. I do have several beautiful, lower units to offer if you would wish to return. My sincere apologies for the pool chair situation. There are rules in place to prevent this from happening. I will definitely bring this up to the COA. Thank you again for your feedback. Gorgeous View

The condo has a great view, and we saw dolphins everyday while we were there. The queen size bed is comfortable and the water pressure is great. Pineapple Willy's is next door with great food and service, which is very convenient to the condo. The pool was great as well. Plenty of stuff to do for kids near by.

20 year anniversary

We had a great time at Shores of Panama. The only problem was the elevators which seemed to be the main problem with every guest & being on the 22nd floor we couldn't just take the stairs. But the weather was perfect. The decor was a little dated in the condo but we weren't in it much so it didn't matter too much to us.

Great condo / Great property / Great Location

The "Good": Room was clean with a spectacular view of the Gulf. It was extremely convenient to be located next door to Pineapple Willy's to grab a quick drink or meal, plus their deck is a great place to hang out under to catch some shade while enjoying the beach. Fantastic pool. The property was in a great location which made our travel to other entertainment locations easy. The staff was kind, courteous and helpful. It met all our expectations. The "Bad": I estimate the property has 1000 units....avg 6 people per unit.........total of (4) elevators, which (2) are usually not working, plus the Property Staff, Cleaning and Maintenance crews all have to use the same public elevators. This makes for the perfect storm of a TERRIBLE design & functionality !!! Elevators are slow, do not have air conditioning and are over-crowded. If you're lucky to get a luggage cart, try squeezing it onto a jammed pack elevator. Expect a 45-min wait. It took 3+ hours to get luggage from parking to the condo. Parking deck doesn't have stairwells or elevators, so to go up or down you must walk the path of vehicle traffic up/down the ramps. Frustrating and unacceptable for the prices being charged.

Thank you for your review. I work very hard to make sure my guests have a wonderful, memorable visit. I'm glad you enjoyed the unit you stayed in and the amazing panoramic ocean, beach and sunset views it delivers!!! My sincere apologies for the elevator waits during the week that you were at the Shores of Panama. There are actually 3 sets (6 elevators) in the building. I understand a couple of those elevators were closed for maintenance during our busiest time of year which created much longer waits than usual. Although very unfortunate, safety has to come first. I cannot imagine what took 3+ hours seeing I make sure my guests have no need to wait in the check-in or resort lines. I am very sorry for this inconvenience you had to deal with on your vacation. Thank goodness this is not the norm. As for the parking deck, there are stairs very close to the parking garage, and luckily unit 2202's parking is on the second floor! Please don't let the elevator situation keep you from visiting again. Keep in mind, we have units from the 3rd floor to the 22nd floor available to our guests. The Shores of Panama is simply the best location if you wish to be 'on the beach' in Panama City Beach! The new Northwest Florida International Airport (ECP) is just 15 minutes away. The beach is extra wide/deep in front of the Shores of Panama and there is an unlimited amount of recreational activities and restaurant in the immediate surrounding area.

The most unique benefit of staying at the Shores of Panama compared to any other condo building near the beach is that it offers 'resort like' amenities and is located directly on the beach. Besides having one of the largest outdoor pools in the area, there is also entertainment on the pool side stage, movies for kids on the beach, and a full service spa on site. The Shores has parking attached to the building (no skywalks). World famous Pineapple Willy's / Pier Bar are right next door offering live music and a sports lounge.
