Our stay at Le Bousquet

Le Bousquet was very clean, had everything that you could Possibly want. You could get to the villages by a short drive. Very peaceful and relaxing. Enjoyed our stay here, if weather is too hot you would miss a pool for the kids and too cool down. Other than had a fantastic time.

Short stay

Very nice stone house situated in a very rural environment. Near Pezuls and not in the village of Ste Alvere, as indicated on the map. Some items in the kitchen (coffee pad machine) as well as the sinks in the bathroom haven't been very well cleaned after their use before. Overall it has nevertheless been a very nice, relaxing stay in a comfortable home. We enjoyed it!

wunderbar entspannter Aufenthalt

Wir haben Le Bousquet eine Woche gemietet und uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus liegt mitten in der freien Landschaft und ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich in einem Feriendomizil wünscht. Es ist großzügig geschnitten mit viel Platz auch für Familien. Le Bousquet ist liebevoll renoviert, was auch sehr detailliert dokumentiert ist. Für Kinder ist die Umgebung des Hauses ideal. Von der Terrasse hat man einen weiten Blick in die Berge jenseits der Dordogne. Für Besichtigungsfahrten liegt das Domizil sehr günstig. Perigeux und Bergerac sind in einer guten halben Stunde erreichbar, ebenso die Burgen und Schlösser und Abteien der Umgebung. Die Kommunikation mit den Besitzern verlief unkompliziert und auf nette Art und Weise. Das Ferienhaus entsprach in allen Punkten der Beschreibung im Online-Inserat. Nicht zu vergessen die charmante Einweisung durch die Eltern der Besitzer, die ganz in der Nähe wohnen und an die man sich bei eventuell auftretenden Problemen wenden könnte. Wir habe diese Woche sehr genossen und empfehlen Le Bousquet ohne Einschränkungen von ganzen Herzen weiter.

Un gîte parfait, nos sauveurs de vacances !

Nos vacances ont été sauvées grâce à vous. Le gîte est très spacieux, parfaitement équipé et super adapté aux enfants! La vue depuis la maison est magnifique, nous avons vu plusieurs lièvres et des chevreuils se promener - un réveil idéal! La région est superbe et ce séjour était la cerise sur le gâteau. Casa tranquila para explorar el Périgord

Es la segunda vez que visitamos la casa. Es un lugar excepcional con acceso a un bosque y con unas vistas preciosas. La casa tiene todo lo necesario y está reformada y decorada con mucho encanto. Volveremos una tercera vez.

C'est vrai que le Périgord peut aussi se découvrir à pied... Chemins de rando au bord des rivières, des ruisseaux... ou sur les collines avec des points de vue sur les châteaux, les vallées... et aussi dans nos jolis villages . Una casa tradicional en un entorno idílico

Me sumo a las opiniones positivas en otros idiomas y aprovecho para transmitir nuestra experiencia a los hablantes de español. La casa está excelentemente situada para explorar la zona. En menos de una hora se pueden visitar la gran mayoría de atracciones del Perigord. Se trata de una casa de arquitectura tradicional reformada con muy buen gusto hace años (el dormitorio del piso de arriba es precioso). El exterior frontal da a un jardín y a un campo de maiz, con amplias vistas (la casa está en lo alto de una colina). La parte de atrás da acceso directo a un ¡bosque! Es un entorno perfecto para niños. Fuimos con uno de 4 años y otro de 1 y medio. Disfrutaron cada minuto allí. Mención aparte al mercado de St Alvere, a 4 kms, los lunes, pequeño pero perfecto para comprar a productores locales de fruta, vino, conservas, etc. En definitiva, muy recomendable y nos gustaría volver. Another relaxing stay in the Dordogne

We have been visiting this beautiful area now for more than 10 years and have had the great pleasure of stopping in this wonderfully restored & rennovated "maison" every time. The views from the property are stunning and if you are looking for rest and relaxation in fabulous surroundings this is the place for you. To sit out and listen to the wildlife in the evenings is a joy. This is a perfect base for seeing all of the historical sites in the area and all of the beauty of the Vezere and Dordogne valleys. Nathalie's home is spacious,- lovely decor and has everything that anyone could want/need for a super holiday/break either as a couple or a family. We love trying to be a "local" and always spend time enjoying the atmosphere at Ste Alvere - we are now recognised by the locals when we return and welcomed back - which is lovely. Thanks to Mme & Msr Salles for everything - it is like coming home to friends every stay. Nathalie thank you so much for allowing us to rent your beautiful home once again. The property was in a nice location close to 2 villages with all aminities

The property was not as clean as it could be and we spent half a day getting it to our standard. Their are 2 bedrooms the problem was you had to go through one bedroom to get to the other. Not a problem for us as we were with family but with 2 different families could be a bit embarrassing. Outside there is a small patio with table and chairs with 4 deck chairs no sun loungers, there is very little shade and no parasol, if you want shade then you have to sit under the tree, the other problem was flies I know it was in the countryside and you expect insects but the flies were a real pest,, The family who own the property were fine the lady who met us was the owners mother a very nice lady she does not speak English and we speak little French but we got by. Overview If somehow the fly situation can be sorted ( I think the tree in front of the house may be the source of the problem.) and at least 4 sun loungers and a parasol or two then it would improve the rating

Thanks for your answer . It will help us to propose a better cottage for holidays. We are sorry for the clean. We shall pay even more attention for the next stays. As for the garden furniture, you have at least 6 chairs. We would have been happy to provide you with more, if you wished it. If you had told us about the sun loungers, we would have been delighted to help you find the 4 sun loungers in the cupboard, near the bathroom. Every year, we supply a parasol, but generally it remains operational no more than 3 weeks. As you said, if you want shade then you have to sit under the lime tree in front of the house, or in the undergrowth nearby. « Le Bousquet » is situated in the countryside, and in summer, you can cross some flies. Also to make the stay pleasant, we have made available to vacationers differents means to kill or capture insects. They are in the house, you can use them … If my mother was younger, she would be happy to learn english language.  You had our mobile phone number ... and we exchanged telephone c alls, and if you told us about your needs we would have done the maximum, with my parents, to make your stay even more enjoyable. But you told us « every thing is OK... »… Thank you again for your comments. We will take them into consideration to ensure a better reception.

Beautiful house in the heart of the Dordogne - tranquil with outstanding views

This is our 11th year of visiting this beautiful house in our favourite part of France. The house is fantastically equipped with everything you could want, very comfortable accommodation, sympathetically restored and with outstanding decoration and furniture. The view from the property is stunning - it is so peaceful here and every time we return it feels like we are going "home". We simply adore coming here every year - we are made to feel very very welcome and we cannot thank Nathalie & Mme & Msr Salles enough for everything they do to make our stay so enjoyable. This is a very very special place ..........Close to the Dordogne/Vezere rivers, very pretty villages eg Limeuil is about a 10 minute drive, the main town Le Buge about 15 mins. The local village St Alvere has a small shop, bakerie(s), lovely Market on a Monday, great little Tabac/Bar - where all the locals and the owners make you feel very welcome. Tremolat is another close village with some lovely places to eat. All the main tourist attractions/sites are within easy driving distance and makes Pezuls the perfect place to stay for a holiday. All in all another lovely holiday in a fantastic house with lovely surroundings in June for us - our thanks once again and we hope to see you very very soon.

Depuis 2005 toujours un accueil chaleureux de la part des propriétaires et de leur famille... une maison où règne une atmosphère chaleureuse. On est attendu, aux petits soins! Cadre parfait pour se reposer . A chaque retour de séjour nous avons rechargé nos batteries et aussi « le poids «  sur la balance !!! Mais c’est le jeu en Périgord !!!!!!!!encore merci à Nathalie et Dominique

Beau terrain!

Maison très complète, chouette terrain de jeux pour les enfants ( dommage que le temps n'ai pas été de la partie !), facilité pour rayonner dans la région. Mention spéciale pour la salle de bain qui possède une très grande douche et beaucoup de place!

Beautiful holiday location in the Dordogne

We have now been visiting this holiday home in Pezuls nr St Alvere for nearly 10 years and return every year to the peace and tranquility of what we now refer to as our "second home". Easily reached from the UK from London Stansted by Ryanair to Bergerac and then hire a car (we recommend Buggs). We love it here - the peacefulness and beauty is fantastic. Everything you could want is included with the property - very comfortable accommodation and always spotlessly clean. Our thanks to Nanou & Claude for their welcoming and understanding of my (less than good) command of French! I promise to take conversation lessons in the next year so I can be much better. Thanks to Natalie as ever - can't wait to come back again. All our love, Linda & Nigel

Toujours la perfection

Séjour reposant comme à l'habitude. Maison toujours agréable tout y est toujours bien pensé pour accueillir au mieux les locataires . Nous ne changerions pas de maison de location et oui fidèles depuis 12 ans ......

Maison chaleureuse !

Maison toujours très agréable , les propriétaires font de leur mieux pour parfaire un accueil chaleureux. Il y a de la vie dans cette maison au cœur de la nature .. Non loin de très bon restaurants. Attendons avec impatience notre prochain séjour ....
