Das Hay Meadow House ist das Haupthaus der Canyon Ranch. Die Familie Wallop ist seit 1889 im Besitz der Canyon Ranch und heute können Sie dieses spektakuläre Haus während Ihres nächsten Urlaubs als Ihr eigenes Privathaus auf unserer 3000 Hektar großen Ranch genießen.

One of Our Best Vacations Ever!

What a gem this property is; a stunning gem! One would be very lucky to stay in these gorgeous accommodation(s) and idyllic surroundings, as a couple, a group, or a family. Coming from San Diego, our stay at The Hay Meadow House, with its piece of heaven view of the Big Horn Mountains and hourly views of deer grazing in the grassland, transposed us into the majestic West and all its glory. What a place... and the family who own the ranch are fine people indeed. We look forward to returning as soon as we can!

Awesome experience

Absolutely stunning location and accomodations. I would just wake up in the morning and watch the sunrise and deer / elk from the bed. I was so relaxed the whole trip I forgot what day it was. Owners are wonderful and very accomodating. Road to the bighorns is just outside the property for easy access to hiking and fishing. I will absolutely be back!

Canyon Ranch, Hay Meadow House

The Hay Meadow House is in just a stunning location with unbelievable views! It is quiet, secluded and beautiful! We had a big family reunion and rented both this and the Lodge. We had kids and adults from both coasts. There aren't many places left where kids can run free, catch fish, get dirty, and just have fun without traffic and strangers to worry about. Had wonderful hikes biking and gorgeous sundowners on the porch, everyone loved it!

Lovely home, spectacular location.

Hay Meadow House is a lovely home in a spectacular location. It was so well-appointed and charming that it seemed more like we were honored guests rather than renters. The setting--Canyon Ranch--is indescribably beautiful. Hay Meadow House has stunning views that photos cannot quite capture. We were also struck by the abundance of privacy, peace, and wildlife. There is easy access to Big Horn, Sheridan, I-90, and the surrounding Bighorn Mountains area. We have rented nice homes up and down the California coast, across America, in London, Geneva, and Florence. Hay Meadow House at Canyon Ranch is incomparably the best.

Heaven on earth!

The beautiful Hay Meadow House is a place you will never forget. It is in a setting that is beyond words. Sandra and Paul are friendly, helpful and the most gracious hosts. The home is perfect and you are supplied with everything you need for your stay. There aren’t enough stars to rate our stay. It was memorable and amazing!

Paradise.

Absolutely an exceptional experience. The home was comfortable and cozy and CLEAN. We spent lots of time on the patio in awe of the magnificent surroundings. Read our books in the clean cool WY weather. We were spoiled by Paul with fresh veggies from the garden and visits from Rosie and Sandra’s warm friendly greetings. Sure loved our time there.

Gorgeous house, stunning location

We stayed here for a week while exploring the surrounding area on vacation, and were extremely pleased with everything about our experience! While visiting, we explored the Bighorn Mountains, Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area, Tongue River Canyon, Little Bighorn Battlefield, and the nearby towns of Sheridan and Buffalo. At the end of each busy day, it was so relaxing just to sit on the patio or in the living room and gaze at the nearby mountains and the many animals around the property. The house itself is immaculate; you definitely will feel like you are a valued guest and not just like a hotel customer. The furniture is all comfortable, there is plenty of seating (both soft and dining), the kitchen has every gadget and appliance you could ever need, there are ample dishes & glassware, and all of the basic consumables are provided (dish soap, laundry soap, paper products, body wash, hand soap, etc.). The towels are nice quality, showers have good water pressure, and there are so many closets and storage areas that you won't have any problems finding a place to store your items. I can't think of a single improvement to suggest, as everything was just 100% perfect. As for the property itself, pictures just don't do it justice. The mountains are beautiful and the yard is well landscaped everywhere. While looking at the backyard, you will see cattle, deer, many birds, and butterflies. We even saw 2 owls on several occasions. Plus, if you are lucky enough to stay when the sky is clear and the moonlight is minimal, the stargazing is outstanding! The owners Paul & Sandra are extremely pleasant and welcoming, and we are so happy that we were able to enjoy a week in this lovely house. We would absolutely stay here again if we ever make our way back to the area!

All around great place!

This place is perfect in every way - it has great views and everything you need to make your stay comfortable and relaxing, including a great gas fireplace, numerous patios with wonderful views, and the most comfortable beds in the world. We stayed for a long weekend and it was the perfect place to get away and unwind. We will be back!

Big Horn 100 trail race vacation!

Look no further! This is THE place to stay in the Big Horn area. The house is even more amazing than the pictures portray. I even enjoyed cooking! Chopping fresh vegetables at the butcher block table while looking out at the mountains with the local deer wandering around the back yard made cooking a pleasure! The views out of the windows frame the view as if you are looking at a portrait of the mountains. The time of day and the setting or rising of the sun dictated the colors that stream across the mountain landscape. Talk about relaxing and chilling out...you cant beat it. We were there to run the big horn 100 trail race and were looking for a comfortable place to chill out before and after and we found it! Our brother in-law came out for a few days and we entertained a couple of friends 1 evening that were also doing the race. A quote from one of the guys doing the race "This whole trip has been a life's highlight. Dinner at the ranch set the tone for the whole weekend" Sandra was great to rent from. She truly wanted us to enjoy our stay and have a wonderful vacation. We all work so hard day to day, week to week, year after year, vacations should be amazing and this one was! The house is immaculate with everything you can possibly imagine! Great kitchen to cook in. Gas stove, high-end pots and pans, every utensil you can think of, nice wine glasses, bose stereo with an auxillary output so I could listen to my music on pandora. I could go on and on. She also had different smelling soaps in all the rooms. My hands smelled amazing all week. It's the small things in life sometimes, and Sandra thought of everything. The trip to town was only about 20 minutes away, but we were perfectly content on the range. Great property to walk around as well. The price is reasonable and worth every penny! We did not bring any children with us but I was thinking of my nieces while I was there and thinking about how much they would have enjoyed it there. I also happened to notice one evening that there was mint growing in the garden. I made myself some ginger tea with mint the next morning while watching the sunrise and thought wow, how lucky am I! You will not be disappointed!
