Paradise between Sky and the Sea @ Golfe du Saint Tropez

‘LA BAS’ – ‘There, Somewhere Up There’ , set in nature, high up on the quiet, sunny hillside of Le Rayol lies this beautiful , authentic , provençal villa offering breathtaking views all around: the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean sea, the famous Cap Negre stretching into the blue waters, the islands of Port Cros and Levant in the distance and the impressive, unspoiled Massif de Maures.
Surrounded by a mature Mediterranean garden of 1600sqm , this secure and peaceful villa offers the perfect setting for a happy carefree holiday, regardless of the season you visit. Citruses, cactuses, palm trees, olive trees , oleander plenty of plants, flowers and herbs and the sound of cigalle in the summer -you will immediately feel at home , at peace and one with this fascinating ecosystem.
The villa faces south and provides many different spots to relax, together or alone, in the sun or the shade. You can take your lunch on the large terrace , sip your coffee at the poolside and share the apero on the solarium , a terrace on top of the house which will take you even closer to the skies. There are many spots the delight at the vews and every day it will offer a different sight.

The surroundings and things to do:
Le Rayol Canadel , in de Golfe de Saint Tropez, is part of the French Riviera which is protected from urban development in order to conserve the outstanding natural beauty. Not impacted by mass tourism, it remains one of the few unspoiled areas of the Mediterranean cost.

If you decide to leave this paradise for the day , there are just too many things to do in the surroundings!
There are more then 10 beaches to discover within 8-15 min drive from the house. There is a good variety from hidden romantic bays with tiny sand beach surrounded by the rocks and turquoise water to the large stretch of fine sandy beaches with bars, restaurants and watersport facilities. For watersport lovers a day is just too short to exploit all the possibilities the sea provides: Jet ski, surf, kayak, snorkel, catamaran, SUP, paddle boat and a sailing school for all levels.

And there is more. The track into the woods of Massif de Maures to go walking, running or mountain biking starts just 200 m up from behind the house. And if you like to bike, there is also car free dust road you can connect to in the village and use it to reach safely (and on flat road!) Lavandou and Saint Tropez.
The famous Domain du Rayol (20 hectares) is true paradise on earth. Also known as the Jardin Botanique du Rayol is a botanical garden and arboretum which contains a number of areas dedicated to plants of the Mediterranean basin, South Australia, New Zeelands, Coast of California, Chile , South Africa, Argentina , Mexico and Asia.

The Villa:
The 160sqm villa is located on a 1600sqm terraced ground. The house is composed of two parts: a main part on level 2 and the studio on level 1. There is parking outside for 2 -3 cars and on the property also for 1-2 cars. The house has in total 4 bedrooms (2 with a view) 3 bathrooms ( 1 with shower , 2 with a bath) and 3 toilets. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, and several terraces.
The house is newly acquired in January 2021 and is waiting for its transformation after the summer season. This will explain the original constriction and authentic like the floor and the design of bathrooms- they are rustic. However , with new furniture and modern decoration it is already a warm, comfortable , welcoming house .
The main house on Level 2 consists of a large living room and dining room , a kitchen , 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a hall. One of the bedrooms is an independent one reachable from the terrace only . It has its own bathroom and a beautiful view of the sea and the hills. The two other bedrooms share a bathroom which is an independent one. One of these bedroom has also the view of the sea from the bed. The dining table is for 8 (10?) people and there is a fireplace for the colder days. For the ones that need to work quietly, there is a bureau in one of the bedrooms.
From Level 2 you can reach Level 1 of the house either by stairs internal stairs or from outside. On this level you will find the independent studio with a living room, a bedroom a bathroom and a toilet and a terrace. This floor provides immediate access to the garden and the pool.
The Pool , the Solarium and the Garden
The pool has a shape of a bean and measures 7 x 4 meters at its extremes. The depth is xxxxx and is perfect for a small swim or for cooling down in the heat, but not for diving. There are lounge chairs , a table with chairs around the pool for relaxation. Pool toys can be found in the garage.
In the back of the house a staircase leads to the highest point if the house: the Solarium! With a table and 2 chairs it is an inspiring spot to sit at the end of day and watch the sunset which will appear always in different colors.
There are many different parts in the garden with different trees, plants and terraces to sit at. In the sun, in the shade, with our without a parasol. In the back of the house there is a big park with xxxxx bushes and mimosa trees – a perfect place for kids to play hide and seek !
The main terrace has a dining table for 8-10 people and a lounger chair. For the hot days the parasol can be extended onto the terrace from the wall. There are two of them. For the other terraces there are parasols to be set up, all stored in the garage
