Die dritte Etage verfügt über ein Queen-Size-Bett, Schlafcouch / Sofa, begehbarer Kleiderschrank, Bad mit Edelstahl oval Dusche, Miele Waschmaschine / Trockner und einem Glasdachfenster. Beide Etagen verfügen über eine Klimaanlage. Die Wohnung befindet sich im historischen Viertel von Clinton Hill / Fort Greene gelegen. U-Bahn, Busse, Handelsgeschäfte und citi-Bikes sind nur einen Block von der Wohnung entfernt. Dies ist ein eleganter Platz für eine einzelne Person, Paar, Freunde oder Familie. Eine großartige Lage für Brooklyn und einfachen Zugang zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten in Manhattan zu erkunden.

The apartment was wonderful: spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished, very efficiently organized kitchen and Melanie was the best host possible. She was always attentive, took care of everything we needed and was charming and welcoming.
The layout of two floors allowed us to have guests for a couple of nights in the living room, where they had their own toilet for privacy and comfort.
Excellent location: easy access to subway trains to Manhattan, 10 minute walk to Prospects Park, Green Point Park (Saturday Farmers' Market), Atlantic Center, BAM, etc.
The place is great...Clean and spacious. Fabulous location to commute to city by public transit. I also had a car and found street parking to be relatively easy.
Very comfortable, safe neighborhood, with ameneties close by..The owner is responsive and super helpful. This place is stress free and a great place to come home to at the end of the day. All positives...great value..
We stayed in Melanie's loft style apartment for 18 nights in July. The apartment is as described and in the photos - a real find on a leafy street in Brooklyn. It's bright, spotlessly clean, spacious and is really well equipped with appliances, crockery, cooking utensils, towels, bedclothes, etc. - all these make a stay real easy. The art and the decorative items in the apartment really set this apartment apart from the usual bare-bones rentals. Melanie even supplied garbage bags, toilet rolls, kitchen paper, cleaning products and basic food items - all the things that you generally have to buy when renting a place, but end up only using one or two of them! The air conditioning worked really well, but if you rent in the spring or fall the windows also open which is a plus.
We stayed here with our adult daughter - who slept on the futon sofa bed in the living/dining space. There is also another bed in the bedroom. Our bed was great - just like we like it- firm. As other reviewers have said there are no doors in the apartment, but there is a bathroom on each floor so we just went to that floor if we wished for total privacy. We were in New York visiting our other daughter and so I cooked a bit which was easy given the well stocked kitchen. The dining table easily fits 4/5 people and was my favourite piece of retro furniture in the apartment. However if you prefer not to cook there are loads of coffee shops and restaurants within 5-10 minute stroll.
There are 3-4 grocery stores within a five minute walk. The bus to downtown Brooklyn runs from a block away as does the C subway. The C brings you into Manhattan in about 10-15 minutes. There is free on street parking too which is great given the cost of parking generally in the city.
Overall I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting an alternative to a hotel room. To me living like a "local" really adds to experiencing a city and staying in a loft style apartment is so New York!
The place is lovely, in a great location (walking distance to so many things in Brooklyn; near subways for easy access to Manhattan or further afield in Brooklyn/Queens). Melanie is wonderfully responsive, easy to communicate with, and welcoming. For me and my partner it was great. We were looking for a place to stay for one month during the summer in Brooklyn, and it was a wonderfully clean, bright, and air-conditioned space.
Best for people who don't need a lot of privacy from others in their group (there are no doors separating any of the spaces in the apartment from each other).
Great stay. We stayed with Melanie for 5 months. Spacious, clean, easy access to all subway lines. Melanie was easy to contact before and during our stay. We had one minor issue with water pressure and she had a plumber there the same day and it was fixed. she takes pride in her lovely home and we appreciate her attentiveness.
This was our second visit to New York from Australia and we are very glad we looked at the Brooklyn area and found this apartment. We had initially looked at Airbnb but did not feel inclined to pay the whole payment months in advance so looked again and found this just blocks away. Melanie was happy to arrange periodic payments and her communications by email were informative and reassuring.
Other reviewers have commented on the transport potions and ease of reaching the city and I will just add that local buses run by the door and along Fulton on the very next corner and the G line is just two blocks up and that takes one with one easy change to Williamsburg on the L and then into Manhattan. We also took the a East River ferry from Williamsburg back to Brooklyn Bridge and then the C back home. We also went two stations back to get the JFK airport A train and with our existing Metrocard it cost only $5 more; we had the time and beat the taxi fare by $45.
The main subway and LIRR lines also mer at the Atlantic Centre/ Barclays area just 15 minutes away and that provided great options.
The apartment provided plenty of space ,seating and security for two adults and allowed meal preparation with plenty of appliances. All this was just fine.
Two aspects worthy of attention: a 'welcome' pack of some tea/coffee and perhaps some milk and simple thing like cheese and buiscuits might be considered for tavellers like ourselves who arrived at 9:00pm. and who did not feel like shopping then. Secondly, the bed and pillows will soon need updating,just a factor of age and use.
Alert from that,no problems at all.
Meanie and Scott were helpful and gave good local advice and even printed off some tickets for us. That they live literally next door is a real bonus and comfort for renters.
We would heartily recommend this accommodation and Broklyn itself and encourages NY visitors to look a bit further afield and be rewarded.
