Perfect Location

We loved the location facing the ocean and on the west side of the building…it’s in a hallway by itself, so was very quiet! Condo had pretty much what we needed for the week and our only complaints are the veryyyy squeaky loud beds in both bedrooms and the lack of lighting in the main bathroom. It is definitely nothing fancy, but clean and laid out well…would stay again with new beds:).

Great vacation

Everything was absolutely wonderful. A few suggestions though. You need to have some pot holders, a cutting board, and at least one cookie sheet in the kitchen. The beds were a little uncomfortable and the queen made a lot of noise when you would move. But, overall, highly recommended and hope to be back.

The only downfall to this condo is that the beds in the two bedrooms are extremely noisy. They make lots of noise when sleeping with any movement and seem to need to be updated. I literally am going to have to go to a chiropractor bc my back hurts so bad from that bed. We also have a 3 month old baby that got woke up every time we moved bc the bed is so loud bc of broken box springs. Super disappointed when the condo Is so nice itself. Couldn't wait to get home to a bed not broke. Loved the property itself and condo super nice besides beds and old couches

Computer deck, chairs. 7 persons occupancy unit has only 4 dining chairs. balcony furniture does not have a table as most other units. Also, only 4 chairs. had more furniture in the past. Sleeping sofa if broken and need to be fixed/replaced. Kitchen missing cutting boards.

We were told someone would contact us about finding another condo for us in 2025. No one ever contacted us about finding another one! Very disappointing!

Needs to be updated

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For $700 a night including all the fees, was not impressed with unit. It was old and not updated. There was mold in master shower all on the ceiling, 2 lights in bathroom were dim and going out, furnishings were cheap and uncomfortable. Then on top of that we pay a cleaning fee, but have to start a load of dishes, start a load of laundry, take out all the trash and clean up before we leave. We love Westwinds and will come back, just not this unit.

Eric, we apologize if there was any inconvenience during your stay. We could have recleaned if you would have notified our office and could also have taken care of any other small things at that time. Most rental properties in the area ask for guests to load the dishwasher and gather the trash upon departure because this helps the area cleaning team as they are working overtime to ensure all properties are clean prior to guest arrivals. We thank you for staying and do hope that, despite any problems, you were able to get some relaxation time in and enjoy your vacation.

Verbesserungswürdig: Check-in und Kommunikation

The AC unit broke and flooded our unit the night before our stay. The management company didn't inform us of this until approximately 2:00PM on the day of check in. Check in was 4:00PM. We were 3/4 of the way there. They then gave us the choice of a full refund, or stay in another unit that didn't have an ocean view.. We had to move 3 times before our original unit was ready. I understand that the flood wasn't in their control, but we should have been notified what was going on when it happened, not when we were 2 hours away from our destination in an 8 hr drive. They then only refunded us the difference between the ocean view condo and the the condos we actually stayed in, instead of refunding us for the 4 days we couldn't stay in the ocean view condo. Those units would have been empty anyway. That would have been a nice gesture to offset our frustration of having to move 3 times.

David, we very much understand your position on this concern, and we didn't call right away because we were hopeful that we'd be able to remediate the flooding ahead of your arrival, but you're right...contacting you sooner would have been an appropriate course of action. We are sorry for the inconvenience of you having to move three times before getting you settled. We know that was a hassle and a distraction from your vacation. We appreciate that you understand that the circumstances of the situation--the flooding--are nobody's fault. We thank you for working with us, and we were more than happy to offer a refund to offset the difference between the condos with a view versus those without. We hope that despite the hiccups in your travel that you all enjoyed the Emerald Coast and the many fun and beautiful to-dos in the area.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Westwind every spring for the last 25 years and over all have been please. This experience was not as good. Not bad, just not what we are used to. The condo had undergone some maintenance, which had included painting. They called us before to tell us that one bed in the guest bedroom was not functional, which was okay since we only got the two bedroom for the extra bathroom and bath. When we arrived the room did smell like fresh paint. The TV's were not hooked up properly and the wiring was very confusing. The plugs in both bathrooms were not functioning. We called Vacation Haven and, to their credit, they had someone out to fix both issues. They attempted to walk me through hooking up the TV's but having paid over $2,000 for the room, I didn't think I should have to deal with it. After they fixed those issues we discovered that the dryer, worked sometimes and made an outrages noise, like it was going to break down anytime. Also the king size bed in the master bedroom was not put together properly. We didn't use the dryer a lot and the bed was sleepable, so we didn't call. Overall it was just okay, not what we have been used to in the past.

The property was absolutely great!

We loved our stay...the only thing I would suggest is the unit should have more supplies for guest. We had to purchase dish soap, toilet paper and kitchen trash bags. Other than that the view was wonderful...the beach was amazing so was the pool area. We definitely will book again.

Great location, view, and clean.

Condo was great. It was clean, you had an ocean view from the balcony, getting to and from the ocean was easy. Check in and check out was very easy. Having the app with all the codes and being able to share the app with other people in the condo was very convenient.
