Diese geräumige, schöne Wohnung bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Bucht und den Strand der Manitou-Inseln und die Sleeping Bear-Bucht, jeden Abend im Jahr wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge und das alles, ohne dass Sie mühsam mehrere Treppen laufen müssen!

Vier Schlafzimmer, drei Vollbäder sowie Wohn-, Ess- und Familienzimmer auf zwei Etagen bieten viel Wohnraum für jedermann. Voll ausgestattete Küche, WLAN und Highspeed-Internet, Kabel- und Roku-TV-Kanäle, Kamin, Gasgrill, Waschmaschine und Trockner, Bettwäsche und Handtücher sowie Liegestühle, Schläuche zum Schwimmen im See oder im Crystal River, Sonnenschirme und Spielzeug. Perfekte Kulisse für einen Urlaub, an den Sie sich noch lange erinnern werden.

Das Hauptschlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett und einen Whirlpool. Das zweite Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett und ein Vollbad auf der anderen Seite des Flurs. Beide Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss verfügen über eine Klimaanlage. Das dritte Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss hat ein Doppelbett und zwei Einzelbetten, und das vierte Schlafzimmer hat zwei Einzelbetten. Vollbad im Erdgeschoss.

Die Wohnung ist mit Spielen und Filmen bestückt, Esstisch bietet Platz für 8. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet mit allem Nötigen, um Mahlzeiten zuzubereiten, und der Gasgrill auf dem Deck erleichtert die Zubereitung des Abendessens. Decksmöbel auf beiden Decks sorgen für völlige Entspannung.

Best view and most equipped kitchen of any unit I've stayed in for the past 40 years. Main floor bedrooms need room darkening shades as the security lights make it hard to sleep at night. Replacement MR Coffee pot leaks and hand rails in the bathtubs would provide security. I had a concern about black mold in basement bathroom-see photos. Wonderfully quiet neighborhood in the Homestead. Would stay there again.

Thanks for your suggestions. We’ve never had a problem with mold downstairs but our cleaners quickly responded to your photos to ensure none develops, and coffee pot has been replaced. Glad you enjoyed your stay!

This unit is fantastic, the views are incredible, it’s well maintained with a lot of items available for renters (inner tubes, beach chairs and umbrellas, and beach toys) so you don’t have to lug up those items. We really enjoy staying in this condo, it has everything you need for a fun family vacation. We’ve stayed here for multiple years, and plan to keep coming up. The host is very thoughtful and responsive.

Homestead South Beach 4-bedroom condo

My wife and I had a wonderful 16 day stay at this property. We were joined for part of the trip with our son, daughter-in-law, and 3 and 1 year old grand daughters. The size of the property was perfect for our family. The ability to exit the porch on the condo and have direct access to the beach was great! In the future, we hope to again stay in this condo.

Comfort with an awesome view

The condo is spacious and comfortable and equipped to make a beach stay great. Lots of square footage with zone out space for a group. The view from the covered deck is beautiful. Although the kitchen is pretty small, it is reasonably well equipped to make all meals. Good communication with the host made for an enjoyable stay.

Homestead

There were six of us women on our annual getaway who stayed in the four bedroom condo. The condo was very clean and fit all of our needs. The sunsets on Lake Michigan were spectacular and the fall colors were amazing. We all had a wonderful time shopping, going to several restaurants for dinner and playing games when we arrived at the condo in the evening.

We had a wonderful stay at this condo. What a beautiful view of Lake Michigan, a great location to town and other outdoor activities, and we appreciated the well stocked kitchen and open floor plan in the condo. The condo was very clean upon arrival and the owner was very helpful and offered suggestions of places to see and restaurants to check out. Easy check in/out. It was perfect home for our family vacation.

Perfect in every way

Everything about this condo was wonderful. First thing I noticed this place was spotless. It does have some dated decor but everything is very well maintained and clean. The view and access to the beach can not be beat. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided. Kitchen supplies, beach chairs, plenty of outdoor seating, washer/dryer. 100% recommend.

The number one feature of course was the proximity to the lake. The number two feature was the cleanliness. The number three feature was quiet, which may have been due partially to most children returning to school and not renting to party goers. Total satisfaction!

Great Comfy Escape

From booking to finish, the whole experience was easy, professional and seamless. We enjoyed the cleanliness, quiet, and comfort of the place - and of course the view was terrific. The condo was perfectly situated to explore the beach, the surrounding areas and the park, and perfectly laid out for simply hanging out with family. It had all the equipment necessary, too, so no dashing to town for this or that, which made it nice for the hanging-out part. Directions were perfect, and rules made sense. The host was gracious and helpful.To sum up, it was a great place for a getaway!

Great first floor location overlooking Lake Michigan

Unfortunately the condo did not have functional WiFi until the middle of day 6 (Thursday) so we could not maintain communications nor have the wherewithal to search for restaurants and other local activities, until day 6. Very disappointing, especially for a high priced condo such as this one. But the condo was fine otherwise and we enjoyed our stay.

Mini Vacation for 4 nights

I have several things to say. First of all, the mattresses on both beds upstairs (the only ones we used) were terrible. They desperately need to be replaced. The air conditioning existed only in the two upstairs bedrooms with a plug in conditioner. We were disappointed the living area was not air conditioned. Advertising a "hot tub" was misleading. I texted the host and asked where the hot tub was and she said it was the jet tub in the master bathroom. That was not what we were expecting. The guest room door upstairs does not close tight. The toilets are still the lower toilets and it would be nice if they were upgraded to the new modern higher toilets, especially for older people like the 2 of us. The TV sound seems to be going on the blink - just an fyi. There were large ants here and there - not a big problem but thought you should be aware. The blue and white beach chairs do not lock in sitting position so could not use them. The sink in the master bath drains slow. Sorry to bring all this up but feel these are things you should know. The premises were very clean. The views spectacular. We enjoyed the peacefulness, security and safeness of the area. The water pressure was good. The condo is well stocked. We enjoyed the deck very much. The biggest thing was neither of us got a good night's sleep any night because of the uncomfortable beds. For what we paid, we expected much better.

Debra, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I’m glad you liked the wonderful views, serenity and peacefulness of the setting, the decks and the condo’s many provisions. I’m sorry you disliked the mattresses, which we’ve never heard from other renters and guests. The master bedroom mattress is a Sleep Comfort bed, so perhaps using the adjustment feature that was on the bed stand might have helped. I will make sure that and the directions are obvious for future renters. We do not advertise the condo as air conditioned or that there’s a hot tub, and our photos show the bathroom toilets so perhaps a closer reading of a rental’s features might be worthwhile in the future. We provide several beach chairs to choose from and have never had trouble locking the ones you mentioned, but am sorry you did. Hopefully the many other beach chairs, including the plastic Adirondack chairs on the lower deck, provided other options for your use. We’ve also never had a problem with ants or other insects, but will notify our cleaners to be on the lookout.

Gorgeous views and relaxing ladies weekend!

Sally is an amazing host. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a welcoming and very clean condo, with breathtaking views of the lake and Manitou Islands. Prior to arriving, Sally was great about communicating and even worked with us on adjusting our check in time to give us more time to enjoy the condo and all the area has to offer. She even had extra towels dropped off to us the first night to make sure that all of our group had more than enough. Evenings spent by the wood burning fireplace after long days of hiking the Empire bluffs and visiting wineries were the perfect way to close out each day. Beautiful beach to walk and relax. Close to many trails, activities, shops, and restaurants. Kitchen was stocked with the essentials like seasonings, dishes, evoo, etc. Bathrooms fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers, etc. Check out was a breeze and all seven of us overworked moms left the weekend refreshed and relaxed. We are hoping to book again next year!!

Great location.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Beautiful views, easy beach access, short drives to all parts of Sleeping Bear Dunes. If you’re picky you may find the beds a little uncomfortable and the interior design out of style, but it’s a lake house and I thought everything was within my expectations.

This condo is spacious and well stocked! Appreciated all the extra supplies. We were quite pleased with how comfortable we were and did not have any concern for "updated furnishings." It is clean, comfortable, and just what we were looking for. Hoping to return next year!

Great condo in wonderful location

South Beach is my favorite place in Glen Arbor; steps from Lake Michigan and the Crystal River; and a bike ride away from downtown. It doesn’t get much better than this. This is our 4th year in a row staying in the same location. This was our first year, however, renting this particular property. The best parts are the number of beds, the balcony with access to the beach and the downstairs living room with additional access to the beach. The window A/C units in the upstairs bedrooms were super helpful during some hot/humid August nights. The apartment is not updated as you can see from the pictures, but it is comfortable, well-equipped and super clean! We had an amazing time. And would definitely stay again!

Three generations have enjoyed this special spot since the condo was built in 1985. We love to hike and ride on the peninsula's many trails and enjoy the beaches, parks and towns almost as much as hanging out on the private beach right outside the condo's doors. For our family, it is the perfect home away from home.

The area is unique in its beauty in all four seasons, and was voted as the 'Most Beautiful Place in America' by Good Morning America! The views from the decks and beach are spectacular and relaxing, the Homestead has plenty of amenities to enjoy (spa, golf, skiing, restaurants, workout facilities, nature trails, private beach). The condo's first floor location is great for carrying in groceries and luggage without any flights of stairs, and for getting to the beach easily. This is a warm and welcoming condo that provides a stunning view in all four seasons of the year!
