ENGLISH VERSION
A gem surrounded by the green of nature – small holiday apartment with charm in the midst of a large garden at Albori, one of the "borghi più belli d'Italia" (one of Italy's most beautiful villages)
An Salerno führt kein Weg vorbei.

ENGLISH VERSION
Albori lies on the eastern border of the world-famous Amalfi Coast, hidden in the green hills of Monti Lattari and overlooking the deep blue Mediterranean Sea. Time has not stood still there, but it does seem to pass more slowly than in other places. Instead of swanky SUVs, old Fiat Pandas and powered three-wheeled Apes with flatbed motor through the alleys. In the car-free village center, small houses in vivid colors pile up in winding terraced alleys.
On the outskirts of this peaceful village, holiday apartment La Casa di Greta lies surrounded by a large garden with vegetable patches, fig and olive trees and various herbs spreading a spicy aroma. Should you wish for peaceful, relaxing holidays, somewhat apart from the hustle and bustle of the Amalfi Coast, you might find this to be your ideal holiday accommodation. La Casa di Greta is perfect for 2 persons.

FURTHER INFORMATION & TIP FOR AN EXCURSION
The main square of Albori with the church of Santa Margherita is only 500 m from the apartment. Bruschetteria "Pub Albori" 300 m off is a good place to stop at for a small in-between snack, the Agriturismo ca. 500 m off is a good place to go for dinner.
Grocery stores are found at Raito, ca. 800 m off. The nearest sandy beach, which you can also walk to along a stepped path, is 3 km from La Casa di Greta.
There is no way around Salerno, which was the case as early as the times of the Etruscans, who profited from its convenient location for their trade. As a Roman colony it became a significant cultural and economic center; its period of prosperity lay, however, in the Middle Ages.
What you should have a closer look at is San Matteo cathedral, consecrated by Pope Gregory VII and one of Southern Italy’s most significant Romanesque churches. The magnificent building was erected when Salerno became the capital of the Norman Duchy of Apulia, which at the time included the whole of southern Italy. There are various interesting museums worth visiting, for example Museo della Scuola Medica Salernitana.
From Monte Bonadies (263 m), which is crowned by Castello di Arechi, you have got a good view onto Salerno.
