Welcome to Library Loft, a warm and inviting second-floor apartment in the heart of the quaint village of Chatham, NY. Accessed via an exterior staircase, the loft opens onto a deck where you can sip your morning coffee while overlooking the gardens. The property also has a grill for you to enjoy.

The interior is comfortable and full of character. The highlight is the library living room, anchored by a double-sided fireplace that creates a ultimate cozy atmosphere. It’s an ideal retreat after a day of exploring the Hudson Valley.

The Library Loft’s central, walkable location makes it easy to experience Chatham on foot. Step outside and stroll to restaurants, cafés, shops, and the historic Crandall Theatre. Also, PS21 and the Mac-Haydn Theatre are both within a mile.

When you’re ready to explore beyond the village, you’re just a short drive from Hudson (20 minutes), Kinderhook (10 minutes), and the Berkshires (30 minutes). The area offers easy access to hiking, skiing, cultural attractions, and all the natural beauty the Hudson Valley is known for.

In addition to the loft, guests have access to a deck for grilling and outdoor dining. Note that the Library Loft can also be rented with the third floor Kinderhaus Loft for extra space and accommodations for 3 more guests.

Please do not invite people over who are not staying at the Library Loft.

Please use caution on the deck and balcony. Children cannot be on them without adult supervision.

For your safety and the safety of others in the building, do not light a fire in either the fireplace or the wood stove. We have provided pillar candles in the fireplace for ambiance.

Exercise caution when using the grill on the deck and be sure to turn off the gas when you are done grilling.

Please park on the street and do not block the driveway. The driveway parking is reserved for residents.

Please do not flush anything other than #1, #2 and TP down the toilet.

Please also be gentle with the antique furniture. Use the coasters we provide to set drinks on wooden tables.
