Zu Gast bei Dana Martin
Hi, we’re Jason and Dana, the owners of The Marburg Cabin. Dana works in the medical field, and Jason works in marketing and sales. Together, we’re parents to six grown children and grandparents to three beautiful grandchildren.
We’ve always loved spending time near the water, in the mountains, at the beach, and exploring new places whenever we can. Travel, good restaurants, quiet mornings, and time with family are some of the things we enjoy most.
The Marburg Cabin was created from our love of meaningful experiences. We wanted to build a place where couples, families, and friends could slow down, reconnect, and make memories of their own. Whether you’re here for a romantic getaway, a wedding weekend, a family escape, or a few peaceful days near Lake Marburg and Gettysburg, we hope your stay feels comfortable, special, and unforgettable.
We’re grateful to share this space with you and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft
We were drawn to this neighborhood because it has a peaceful, tucked-away feeling while still being close to so many great local experiences. The mature trees, quiet setting, and natural surroundings immediately stood out to us. There is something special about waking up to birdsong, watching deer move through the woods, and seeing the property change with each season.
We also loved the character of this place. It feels private, warm, and connected to nature without being far from Lake Marburg, Codorus State Park, Gettysburg, local restaurants, and nearby wedding venues. For us, it had the perfect mix of calm, convenience, and charm.
The Marburg Cabin was created to share that feeling with others — a place where guests can slow down, enjoy the woods, spot wildlife, relax by the fire pit, and make memories in a setting that feels both peaceful and special.
Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig
The Marburg Cabin stands out because it offers a more modern, upscale cabin experience than many traditional stays in the area. While the surrounding region is known for classic cabins, rural homes, and rustic getaways, this property was designed with a cleaner, more elevated feel — blending the warmth of a wooded retreat with the comfort and style of a boutique stay.
From the modern A-frame design and thoughtful interior finishes to the cozy outdoor spaces, hot tub, fire pit area, and peaceful wooded setting, every detail was chosen to create a stay that feels both relaxing and memorable. Guests can enjoy the charm of nature without sacrificing comfort, style, or convenience.
What makes the cabin especially unique is the balance it offers. It feels tucked away among mature trees, wildlife, and quiet surroundings, yet it is still close to Lake Marburg, Codorus State Park, Gettysburg, local restaurants, and nearby wedding venues. It is a place where guests can enjoy a romantic weekend, a peaceful family escape, or a special getaway that feels more intentional than a standard overnight stay.
We created The Marburg Cabin to be more than just a place to sleep. Our goal was to offer one of the most modern and upscale cabin experiences in the area — a place where guests can slow down, reconnect, enjoy the outdoors, and make lasting memories in a setting that feels private, polished, and special.
