Gut: Sauberkeit, Check-in, Kommunikation, Lage und Genauigkeit des Onlineauftritts
Excellent jumping off point for the hiking we planned on doing in the mountains, and an easy hike down to the Landwasser Viaduct (though the climb back up was not quite as easy).Steps to groceries. Unfortunately not a lot in the way of restaurants in Schmitten, and we were travelling without a car - which we understood in retrospect why it was surprising to the host when we arrived. The first night we walked down the hill to Alvaneu (about 5km) for a serviceable dinner at La Cantina. We got some groceries the next morning (the grocer is open from 8:00 to 12:00 daily) for breakfast and for snacks on the hoof, and then just made sure we were hiking through a town at dinner hour one night, and barbequed some sausages and vegetables at the property one night. Kitchen facilities at the property were great - the best I've had at a VRBO (or that other one I'm not allowed to name here, apparently).I probably wouldn't recommend not having a car to most prospective guests at this property, but it worked for us.Property was lovely for our crew of six - three "real" adults, two technical adults (20 and 18), and one brat (15) - and could have comfortably slept eight. We somehow did not get around to using the sauna. Had a bit of initial confusion but ultimately got our clothes clean in the laundry facilities. And loved the mountain air.Urs was a pleasure to deal with. Anita was out of town while we were there.
