Jay, thank you for your thoughtful feedback about Treedom, both positive and negative. I am extremely pleased that you found the space, structure and scenery to be top notch. Honestly, I was a little hesitant to rent our treehouse to you because of your multiple criticisms about the space, before you even set foot on the property. It also seemed a bit unfair that you added several extra guests two days before your arrival, leaving us minimal time to prepare for the extra-large group. Regardless, I met each of those conversations and requests with a smile and pleasant communication. What disappoints me the most is that you never sent me a single communication during your time at Treedom, even after I checked-in with you multiple times. I gave you every opportunity to let me fix any issues while you were staying, but you elected to silently make a list of all the negatives and taint your own vacation. Our natural rock steps were carefully installed by hand, we have several pictures of them on our VRBO listing and according to all previous guests, they are very practical and sturdy. Additionally, we have “watch your step signs”, two motion sensor lights and 8 solar lights that line the entire outdoor staircase. Despite having a bug zapper on the deck and pest control that services the cabin routinely, I’ll admit I have seen a bug or two inside the treehouse (as I have with any house, anywhere). The "Brown Marmorated Stink Bug" you are probably referring to, tries to infiltrate spaces in Tennessee this time of year as temps start to cool off. It is ironic that you mention the “Ship’s Ladder”, because we worked with the local permit office to build ours specifically to the Tennessee Builder’s Code. This style is also a common feature in many treehouses and is displayed in several of our VRBO listing photos. We have the treehouse professionally cleaned after every guest and I personally walk through prior to each guest’s arrival, so I don’t understand any of your comments about cleanliness. Many people suffer from pollen allergies, and the treehouse is set on 27 acres of forest, pasture and farmland, so while I do empathize, I cannot accept responsibility for this. I privately and now publicly am offering you a discount, so that we can align the value of your experience with the price that you wish to pay. Again, we appreciate your booking and wish you the best.
