Getting around this stretch of Scenic Highway 30A in Walton County is easy and fun, especially if you plan to bike and explore nearby beach communities like Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach. While you can absolutely enjoy the area with minimal driving, having a vehicle is helpful for grocery runs, exploring the full 30A coastline, and planning day trips across South Walton.



Traveling to/around the area, explore by foot, by bike, or by car:

• A car is recommended for exploring beyond the immediate 30A corridor, as rideshares and taxis can be limited and wait times can vary.

• Many nearby spots are bikeable via the Timpoochee Trail (30A’s dedicated bike path), making it easy to reach Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach, and local dining.

• Walking works well for short trips and beach days, but plan to drive for larger grocery runs and farther excursions.

• Bike rentals are widely available along 30A if you want extra bikes for your group, helmets are recommended, and the paths can get busy during peak season.
