Welcome to Camp Ellwin. Situated in the picturesque Galway NY, the foothills of the Adirondacks.

Camp Ellwin is a fully renovated home on Galway Lake. With a large private backyard, a 2 minute walk to a private beach with access to Galway Lake, which is strictly no motor boats. 4 Kayaks (2 single, 2 double) and safety jackets provided! An easy 30 minute drive straight into the town of Saratoga Springs.

Our goal is that Camp Ellwin feels like your home away from home. Where you, your family, and friends can connect to make memories that last a lifetime!

Home and hosts were amazing. Everything was immaculate and tons of extras. Hosts went out of their way to make sure we had everything for an amazing vacation on the lake, including allowing us to use their private kayak. We had an amazing time, thank you!

This is an absolute gem of a “camp”. It’s beautifully done with plenty of space for five (2 of which are teenage boys). The kids loved the yard games, kayaks and the s’mores tasted better! There is a lot of space in the yard and it’s super clean! I would live here year round!!

This place is above and beyond!! Tom and Kathleen are amazing hosts! They met us on check-in and showed us everything. The house is beautifully decorated and pristine. Fully stocked with anything you can think of. Plenty of outdoor toys, even for the dog. Wonderful kitchen and laundry with anything you could possibly need. The yard is spacious and beautiful and the lake is gorgeous and easily accessed. They provided kayaks and life vests too!! Our family had a wonderful vacation. Our hosts checked in by message once in a while, but let us have the place completely to ourselves. We felt like we could call on them for anything we needed, but frankly, we didn't need anything! We HIGHLY recommend this spot. What a treat!!

Absolutely great property! Kathleen, Tom and Colleen did an amazing job making their home feel welcoming. It is beautifully decorated down to the smallest details. The yard is bordered by a wooded area and privacy fence making it very relaxing. There’s a private lakeside beach just a short walk away. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. So many areas in the house to sit and relax with a cup of coffee/tea. If you forgot it don’t worry Kathleen and family thought of it for you. Not only was the rental A, Kathleen was a top notch host. From providing information about the surrounding area to leaving a parking pass for Saratoga Springs to offering to watch my dog if needed to having flowers and delicious treats for us upon arrival. Ellie (our dog) spent her mornings watching the squirrels steal the peanuts and bird seed out of the feeders. Not to mention the property was central to everything we had planned to do. Thank you Kathleen, Tom and Colleen for making us feel so welcome. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Saratoga Springs area.

It was the ideal setting for a relaxing weekend getaway. The home was spotlessly clean and the hosts didn’t miss a single detail; everything we needed (and more) was thoughtfully provided. The kids had a blast sending postcards to family back home!The hosts were so warm and welcoming. They even gave us a personal tour of the home, the lake grounds, and showed us where the kayaks are kept; such a lovely touch that made the stay feel extra special. They also shared great ideas for local attractions based on the weather, which helped us make the most of our time.This place is both family-friendly and pet-friendly, which made it perfect for us. We have family members with a history on the racetrack who encouraged us to visit the area since I was a child. it's always felt like our second home. We moved up here permanently in 2018.

Camp Ellwin is affectionately named after my Grandfather. When we originally looked at this property when it came up for sale, we instantly fell in love. It had such a wonderful feeling about it. Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My Poppy, (Grandpa Ellwin), valued family, and time together more than anything. He had so much love and hospitality for everyone he met. It felt only natural that it be named after him.

We hope everyone who stays here feels at home and a part of our extended family.
