The Emily Elizabeth House

The Emily Elizabeth House is a restored Victorian home built in 1897 and modernized without losing the details that made it worth keeping. Named after our daughters, who grew up here, it was our family home for years. Now it welcomes guests for weekends, weeks, and longer stays.

Located in Sudbury’s village center, on the edge of the King Philip Historic District, the house offers a rare combination of historic character, walkable convenience, and space to settle in.

The Space

Three bedrooms, four updated bathrooms, and room for 8 guests comfortably, or 9 with the roll-out bed. Original details include pocket doors, two staircases, high ceilings, and stained glass on the landing. Modern updates include central air conditioning, Nest thermostats, gigabit WiFi, updated bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and in-unit laundry.

Set Up for Comfort

The house is furnished for actual living, not just overnight stays. There is a fully equipped kitchen for real cooking, a dedicated workspace with an ergonomic chair, washer and dryer, smart TV, quality linens, and room to gather together or retreat to private bedrooms. Well-behaved pets are welcome with advance notice.

The Location

Walk to restaurants, shops, and the library in Sudbury’s village center. Nearby destinations include Concord, Lexington, Walden Pond, Minute Man National Historical Park, the Wayside Inn, area colleges, Cambridge, Boston, and Logan Airport. The Bruce Freeman and Mass Central rail trails are also close by for miles of walking, hiking, and biking.
