Although the setting feels peaceful and tucked away, River Queen offers the best of both worlds: peaceful mornings on the water and easy access to everything the area has to offer.

Lake Sophia, Kingston’s new swimming hole, is a short 10-minute drive from the marina. Visit Kingston’s historic districts, browse local art galleries and quaint shops, dine at waterfront restaurants, visit nearby wineries and farms, then return to the quiet rhythm of the creek to watch the sunset from the deck.

The stay on the houseboat was so great! We stayed here for a weekend when attending an event at Hutton Brickyards. Steve was a great host and was available and responsive for any questions. We loved coffees on the seating area in the morning and evenings enjoying the view of the water. Definitely will keep in mind for any stays in the area in the future!

Great location! The top deck was wonderful for sunrises, sunsets, and watching the summer storms come in. The hosts were nice and generous with their time. Perhaps Oswaldo the dog was the highlight! On a side note, the listing shows a TV, but there isn’t one. That was fine for us, but I know some people love their TVs!

Steve the host was awesome!!! The boat s very nice...very wel kept. The Marina is out of the way...the restaurant on the property Castaways was awesome. If you catch them on wing night (Thurs) you won't be sorry!!! If you and ur Signicant Other enjoy being cozy and close...no TV just a quiet romantic get away this is for you.

This is a wonderful little houseboat. Perfect for two. Its quiet and peaceful, great for recharging yourself. The hosts were super easy to deal with. Present enough without feeling overwhelming. A quick car ride to Kingston which has a number of fun things to do. Some great breweries and restaurants in the area. Highly recommend.(Keep in mind the water for the sinks and shower is not potable so bring some water with you for drinking.)We will definitely be coming back!

I have never slept on a boat and it was great. Occasionally a boat would go by a bit fast and the waves would rock the boat - that was interesting if I was standing but wonderful if I was laying or sitting down. The location was peaceful and exactly what I was seeking. I did get some work done but I was trying to take off a few days and the location, boat, and the length of stay were all exactly what I needed.The host was amazing as well. Nice, responsive, lived close by and hence was available if something went wonky.One warning - which was why I picked it. There is one restaurant you can walk to. The food was good but the bar area was small - with the ability to take your drink outside if you wanted and on nice days that was great. You have to drive everywhere else. Grocery store, C-Store, restaurant, etc.

Had never stayed on a houseboat before and I have no regrets. Hosts were great, giving a quick tour and rundown of how things work when we arrived. Inside the cabin is quiet and cozy at night, and hanging out on the deck up top was a highlight of the trip.

My wife and I created the houseboats River Queen and Sweet Pea because we fell in love with life on the water. Living aboard reminded us to slow down and appreciate the simple things: a quiet morning, the changing light on the creek, and a conversation without distractions. We wanted to share that experience with others.
Creek Time began with that simple idea: life feels different on the water. Mornings linger a little longer, conversations stretch into the evening, and there’s time to simply sit and watch the creek move by.
Docked on the Rondout Creek, River Queen and Sweet Pea offer cozy, peaceful places to unplug, reconnect, and experience the Hudson Valley from a different perspective. Have your morning coffee on deck, watch the boats pass, explore nearby Kingston, or stay right where you are and do absolutely nothing for a while.
