Delightful Monte Rio cabin, close to the Russian River, Restaurants and Nature

Our cabin in Monte Rio is an artist's retreat and our get-a-way sanctuary. It is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by endless redwood trees. The air is always fresh and filled with the scent of forest. Think about camping in the middle of the redwoods, near a river and that's exactly what it is like...but in a delightful cabin with all the amenities (like the local Bartlett's grocery store about .5 mile away, and the town of Guerneville and restaurants just a few miles away).

Japanese maples live harmoniously with redwoods and surround our home. Many have been seeded and raised on the property. They add even more beauty, tranquility and uniqueness to the property. The Russian River is visible from two of the three decks.

Monte Rio is a fantastic base camp for attractions throughout Sonoma County. Wine tasting, redwood and coastal hiking, mountain and road biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, shopping, dining, visiting museums and more are all within a short drive. Yet you can go right out the door for an amazing walk around the quiet wooded neighborhood, or to the river within 10 minutes. Driving to the river is about 3 min. The local movie theater is a mile away, and is the only one in the area.

This beautiful retreat features two bedrooms, 1 King and 1 Queen, both with comfortable mattresses and linens, perfect for a restful night. Guests can unwind in the comfortable living room, which offers a 55 in Smart TV and a sleeping loft (accessible with the library ladder) with a double size futon for extra sleeping space, perfect for older kiddos. Two full bathrooms, one even includes a relaxing bathtub to soak your cares away. Enjoy the hot tub under the redwoods for even more relaxation and peacefulness. There are three outdoor decks to lounge on, BBQ, enjoy coffee, dinner, or read a book. Whether you’re curling up inside or enjoying quiet moments, this charming cabin provides a peaceful escape.
