Gut: Sauberkeit, Check-in, Kommunikation und Lage
We decided to take a chance on this VRBO as it didn't have any reviews posted. Much of why we picked it was the general location of Wrigleyville as we were there for some Cubs games over the July 4th weekend. The contracting process was very smooth as was the check-in. The location ended up being very good for the games as it is 3-4 blocks north of Wrigley and in a neighborhood with good restaurants, bars and a Walgreen's. We also had an issue with the washer having an error which was quickly resolved by the excellent co-hosts Carlos and Laura. The place was very clean with lots of nice extras like coffee, snacks, etc. The significant negative that should be more clearly/transparently stated before contracting is that it is less than a block from the curve near the Sheridan stop on the red line. This means 24/7 there is significant intermittent train noise and rail squeaks. I used a phone app to measure the db or decibels and it ranged from 82-85 db (when raining) to nearly 95-100 db when sunny and the rails had dried off. It's so loud that the hosts provide ear plugs which are definitely needed and were used for our stay. I like to be as transparent as possible during these reviews to allow future possible renters the chance to know all the positives and negatives.
