You'll be able to watch local wildlife ambling across the lawn while hawks soar overhead. Towering redwoods and beaches with waterfalls are just minutes away. The home is sunny and sheltered from the coastal wind, so when you return from the beach you can sit on the deck in comfort catching a distant sunset from the deck. The bright, wood interior creates a warm and inviting home where you can relax, read, write, and share meals. With all the community's shared amenities, including tennis courts, swimming pools, saunas, 50 miles of hiking and biking trails, and numerous beaches, you and your group will be able to entertain yourselves for days outdoors and inside the home.



A meandering trail or a quick drive leads you to the iconic Ohlson Recreation Center, with a pool, saunas, volleyball, basketball, and tennis courts. Take the short and worthwhile drive to Fort Ross State Historic Park. Head six miles north to enjoy Gualala Point Regional Park, where you can hike, kayak, and picnic with your family. And whale watching from the house or the walking trails in the spring and fall is a favorite activity for many.

Step inside and settle in -- every room and amenity in this home is yours for your stay. Driveway parking is available at the property. Detailed check-in instructions, including the door code, will be provided prior to your arrival. As a guest, you also have access to Sea Ranch community amenities including the pools, tennis courts, fitness center, and miles of trails. A recreation pass will be provided.



The Neighborhood:

Perched along the Sonoma Coast, The Sea Ranch is a nature lover's paradise -- think tidepools, wildflower meadows, and redwood groves at your doorstep. Nearby highlights include community heated pool and hot tub (South) (a short 4-minute walk), Pebble Beach access trail (6-minute walk), Black Point headland trails (10-minute walk). Trails lead from your door to the bluffs, beaches, and through the forest. Heated pools, tennis courts, a fitness center, and The Sea Ranch Lodge round out the amenities. Stock up in Gualala, just 10 minutes south, where you'll find grocery stores, restaurants, a hardware store, and gas. Bodega Bay is a beautiful drive for fresh seafood.



Getting Around:

Or if you’re into golfing, travel five-and-a-half miles up Highway 1 to try your hand at Sea Ranch Golf Links, which offers a fully equipped golf shop, a practice putting green, a full grass driving range, a snack bar, and more. Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa is the nearest airport, about 1.5 hours east. A car is essential for exploring the area.

The Sonoma and Mendocino Coast is home to many forms of wildlife. The grassy meadow location is home to mice, raccoons, and many harmless outside dwelling insects. Seasonally we can have ants, three striped roaches and beetles. This wildlife are all part of our environment. Occasionally they can find their way into a home.



Sea Ranch has three recreation centers with heated pools, saunas, and tennis courts. Access passes are provided with your stay -- check availability upon arrival as these shared amenities can be popular during peak times.



Exterior lighting is minimal by design to preserve the stunning dark sky -- bring a flashlight for evening walks and enjoy some of the best stargazing on the California coast.



Keep your eyes on the horizon from December to April -- gray whales migrate just offshore, and this property has a front-row seat. Visit in spring and the meadows explode with wildflowers. April through June is peak bloom season along the Sonoma Coast. The warmest months are June through September. Expect coastal fog most mornings that gives way to sunny afternoons.



Cell service can be spotty along the coast. The home has WiFi for staying connected.
