We really enjoyed the location of this cabin. Being right along the river was absolutely beautiful, and the peaceful setting made for a relaxing getaway. The cabin itself was adorable, cozy, and comfortable, with a lot of charm.Unfortunately, our stay was overshadowed by what appeared to be a significant mouse problem. We repeatedly found mouse droppings throughout the cabin during our stay, which was concerning. Even more troubling, we discovered a dead mouse inside the kitchen garbage can underneath the trash bag liner. Since it was beneath the liner, it seemed unlikely that it had gotten there during our stay, which gave us the impression that this issue may not be receiving the attention it needs. We are from the country and are no strangers to mice getting in from time to time… this was more than that. It’s clear this is a known problem as there are mouse traps under sinks and about. With better pest control and more thorough cleaning, this could be an outstanding place to stay because the location and cabin are wonderful. We hope management addresses the mouse issue so future guests can fully enjoy everything this property has to offer.Also despite reviews about a hot tub there is no hot tub currently and there are boards and electrical that is sticking out from the deck from where a hot tub once was. The property management may want to put out cones or cautionary barriers as we could see this turning into a tripping hazard as it is currently left as it is.
