In winter months, plan a visit to Sugar Bowl Resort, offering 100 ski trails for all levels of expertise - less than five miles away.



With plenty of living space and comfortable furnishings, the amenities will make you feel right at home. Floor-to-ceiling windows, cathedral ceilings, and a southern exposure ensure abundant natural light throughout the open living space. Gather beside the wood-burning fireplace with hot cocoa and enjoy the warm ambiance. Entertain and whip up home-cooked meals in the modern kitchen, outfitted with stainless steel appliances. When it's time to eat, grab a seat at the breakfast bar, rustic dining table, or out on the deck, with an additional dining area and a gas grill for easy family cookouts.

Beautiful spacious house with great views. The hot tub and fire pit were an added bonus. Overall the house was clean with the exception of a badly stained bedspread and several dishes in the cupboards were dirty. The kitchen faucet needs repair as well as drywall in the stairwell and the bench by the dining room table. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again and have recommended this place to our friends.

Tahoe Spring Ski Dream House

This home is truly exceptional. Everyone bedroom with ensuite bathrooms, gathering areas, game room, beautiful views. Just jaw dropping.Very fine home, very well appointed. Very responsive mgmt by Vacasa. could not be happier.

Amazing Retreat

The wide open outdoor spaces with incredible views of Donner Lake and the Summit made for a relaxing place to spend time with friends and family. With plenty of amenities there isn't much else you could ask for on a mountain retreat. Quiet neighborhood, in a stunning place. Its a must stay if you're wondering where to be to entertain on your trip!

The house itself was great. Loved that it had a lot of bedrooms with their own bathrooms and the bottom floor with arcade games and pool table was awesome. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies. Communication with manager was slow and disappointing. When one of our party arrived, the driveway was completely unplowed and they had to use shovels to clear the driveway. Then the door code did not work. When I called the phone number, it was not in service, but a message indicated a new number to use which finally got through to someone to help us open the door. When I tried the chat feature, it said something was wrong with Vacasa and it was not able to help. When we left, a party left something behind and when I messaged to ask if anyone had found it and could leave it outside for pickup, I got four stock messages not addressing my question. Like I said, beautiful property, well stocked (although manager said NO salt pepper or oil would be there so we had to buy some and lo and behold, there was some in the pantry), but incredibly bad communication in a stressful situation (closed highways, winter snowstorm, kids waiting in cars). Received no check out instructions so we did what we could (I guess that’s a plus?). Maybe a summer experience is less stressful.

The whole experience was a breeze. Very Informative, easy to understand. The view was priceless. The quaint little street was quiet. This house was exactly what we were looking for when we decided to have a family reunion. Very comfortable! Every room with a TV and Internet. Games and room for all to enjoy.

This house is huge and spacious enough for our large family. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom which is very unusual. The view off the deck was wonderful. So peaceful. The hot tub, fire pit, pool table, video game etc kept everyone busy. The kitchen was fairly well-stocked with cooking utensils etc. however I would suggest you bring your own zip lock baggies, tin foil, plastic food containers etc. The dishwasher needs work and the “bear” could use a thorough cleaning but otherwise this place is perfect!

White Christmas

Postcard view of the lake. Snow covered trees made for a heavenly experience. We used all the beds and all 10 of us were comfortable. Fantastic gathering place for our extended family. Great kitchen and dining table for our group. Had all the pots and pans we needed and plenty of utensils. Bring your own extra toilet paper and paper towels to avoid a trip to the store. The garbage cans were already full when we got here.

Awesome family vacation!

Highly recommend this property! We had a family vacation and the property was just perfect for us. There’s plenty of space and everyone had their own room & bathroom. The lower level with the pool table & large couch was perfect for hanging out. The spa & fire pit were awesome with views of Donner Lake. We had all our dinners at the house & the kitchen was well equipped with the BBQ out on the upper deck. The views of the lake and mountains were really spectacular. Easy access just a short drive down the hill for water activities. Be sure to make a trip to the ice cream shop close by. Our property manager was very responsive and attentive. Really special vacation & we’d definitely stay again!

All about the view

We were 4 friends having a girlfriend getaway and were very happy with our stay. Spectacular views of the lake from living, dining and all bedrooms. All new furniture and furnishings (mostly IKEA) including charging lamps by the beds. All beds reported as comfortable including the bunks which were occupied by adults. Rooms are spacious. Night lights everywhere, big tvs in all rooms though we didn't turn any of them on; good linens. It would be nice to add blackout curtains in bedrooms, some body lotions and tissues as amenities. We couldn't open doors to deck when we first arrived but finally were able to loosen them. Called maintenance and they said they'd send someone after we left, which was ok since we were able to use them. Hope to come back to this house again.

Fantastic location - great for (2) families with children.

Really enjoyed the house.. A) Unbeatable location. quiet road, excellent access for lake activities as well as local mountain activities in surrounding truckee neighborhood. B) We really enjoy cooking on Tahoe retreats and found kitchen very well stocked with utensils and other kitchen tools. C) House was very clean and electronics all well labeled. The house however lost a star due to the thermal comfort system. Single zone without controls logic left the upstairs living very warm and master br roasting hot while the lower level bedrooms comfortable. My Garmin watch read 87 deg in the master at night and because the Ecobee stat was locked out, there was nothing we could do. We tried shutting the damper in the master but the velocity of the air resulted in loud whistle at the discharge Next day we notified Turnkey and they offered a standard generic response about the downstairs t-stat and upstairs thermistor using an averaging method. That didn't help fix the situation. We got their attention day 3 and they finally gave us owner's password after going back and forth for an entire morning for us to adjust the stat. We were able to set the stat at 66 deg and just use local electric spot heaters on low in the kids rooms at night and then the master was closer to comfotable mid 72d. Still had awful sleep the first two nights which is unreasonable when paying throttled holiday rates.

Spacious lake view home

Great rooms with lots of space for your family/group with good layout. During winter it can be hard to heat the top floor so bring firewood for the fireplace in the main living room and enjoy your stay.

Very good experience

Very good view of lake and mountain. Quiet neighborhood and close to a lot of things, Donner lake/Tahoe donner/Truckee downtown/Safeway. And my kids love the toys:) Last and the most important, the customer service is very very nice. They are very patient and always answer my questions quickly. The only thing I could complain is the mattress…..the mattresses is too soft for me, which is totally personal. I think I will consider renting this house again this summer.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Only downside was the carpet was incredibly dirty so we always had to have shoes on or the soles of our feet would be very dirty.

Beautiful house and location

Our family had a wonderful time! Brought our boat, nice spacious driveway to park it in and a two minute drive to the launch! Very clean and nicely decorated! The only issue we had was our door code to get in did not work when we arrived. We had to drive to find coverage where we could call customer service. They did change it for us though; that was the only hiccup!

Excellent home for a race weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property. It was very clean, had everything we needed and provided plenty of space for us. It’s actually a 3 bedroom, 4.5 bath home, which I don’t believe is in the listing. The views of the lake were lovely with an evening glass of wine. My husband did the Donner Lake Triathlon this weekend and it was just close enough to get there easily and just far enough to be quiet and secluded. I would love to stay here again for our next trip to Donner.
