Set on a private, wooded lot in the quiet community of Todd — just a couple of homes and the sound of the creek slipping past the trees — this serene 3-bedroom cabin is the mountain reset you keep meaning to book. Mornings start slow with coffee on the deck and mist rising off the water. Afternoons drift between the creek and the fire pit. Evenings wind down around the stacked-stone gas fireplace, the good kind of tired.

THE MAIN LEVEL

Step inside and the mountains come with you: warm wood floors, tongue-and-groove walls, and a soaring vaulted ceiling above a wall of windows. Leather sofas gather around the stone fireplace, and the windows open to an expansive deck built for long dinners and longer sunsets — gas grill, gas fire table, and outdoor dining with nothing but woods and water beyond. Down in the yard, a wood-burning fire pit and four Adirondack chairs wait for the marshmallows.

ROOM TO RELAX AND PLAY

When it is time for a little friendly competition, the lower level delivers: a TV lounge and a converted garage turned game room with a pool table and air hockey, plus an arcade game for the kids. Upstairs, a cozy reading nook on the landing is the quiet corner everyone will claim.

WHERE EVERYONE SLEEPS (SLEEPS 10)

Main-level master: king bed, private ensuite with a jetted soaking tub and separate step-in shower. Upstairs bedroom 2: queen bed. Upstairs bedroom 3: queen bed — the two upstairs rooms share a full bath with a spa-like steam shower. Great Room: queen sleeper sofa. Lower level: queen sleeper sofa.

FAMILY- AND PET-READY

Bring the whole crew, kids included — there are board games, children's books, and baby safety gates on hand. Up to two dogs are welcome for a small fee, so no one gets left behind.

GETTING COMFORTABLE

High-speed WiFi, central heat and air, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and streaming-ready TVs throughout. Self check-in by smart lock makes arrival easy after a long drive.

THE LOCATION

You are perfectly placed between Boone and West Jefferson — about 20 minutes to each — for breweries, restaurants, galleries, and mountain-town wandering. Green Valley Community Park and its South Fork New River access (tubing, kayaking, fishing, a playground, and trails) is about a 10-minute drive, and the Old Barn Winery — live music and food trucks — is close by. Boone favorites like Tweetsie Railroad, Rocky Knob Mountain Bike Park, and Appalachian Ski Mountain are 30–35 minutes out, with Sugar and Beech Mountain a bit farther for winter.

A few good-to-knows: the home sits on a level gravel driveway with parking for four; in winter, please come with AWD or 4WD. For everyone's security there are exterior cameras only, and no interior cameras.
