Suncadia Luxury Getaway & Hot Tub Big Rock Retreat

Big Rock Retreat is very personal to me. The vision for this home actually started back in 2009 when I first discovered Suncadia. I fell in love with the area and always dreamed about building a place here where family, friends, and guests could gather and create lasting memories. Being able to finally design and build this home and now share it with others is something I truly enjoy at this stage of my life.

My goal has always been to create a true 5-star experience for every guest. I’m very hands-on with the property and personally manage the home, the cleaning team, and the check-in and check-out process to make sure everything runs smoothly and the home is always in great condition for your stay.

One of the things I enjoy most about hosting is hearing about the experiences guests have here—whether it’s families gathering, friends celebrating, or people simply relaxing and enjoying time together. When guests tell me this was their favorite place in Suncadia and that they can’t wait to come back, it genuinely makes me proud.

Big Rock Retreat was designed to be more than just a place to stay. My hope is that it becomes a place where great memories are made, photos are taken, laughter is shared, and people leave already planning their next visit.

I designed and built this home to create unforgettable memories with family and friends. From the moment you arrive, the home delivers a true “wow” factor with gorgeous wood siding featuring custom wood imported from Indonesia and a curated color palette that creates a modern luxury cabin feel.

Inside, the home welcomes you with soaring ceilings, exposed glulam beams, and warm natural textures throughout. The chef’s kitchen features high-end appliances perfect for preparing meals for large groups, while the gas fireplace and multiple gathering spaces make it easy to relax and connect. The home includes seven TVs and comfortable indoor and outdoor entertainment areas.

The outdoor living space is a major highlight. The covered patio features ceiling-mounted heaters, a barbecue, gas fire pit, beautiful lighting, and comfortable seating areas, creating the perfect place to gather year-round. Large 10-foot sliding glass doors and a stunning glass pivot front door bring in natural light and create a seamless indoor-outdoor experience.

The layout was carefully designed for groups. There are three spacious primary suites, each with its own bathroom, TV, dimmable lighting, and beautiful custom tile work. The fourth bedroom features built-in bunk beds with pull-out trundles, and there is also a hidden bunk room that sleeps up to 10 guests, creating a fun space for kids and adults alike.

The garage has been converted into a game room with a pool table, ping pong table, karaoke setup, cozy seating, and two TVs.

Despite being in the heart of Suncadia, the property feels incredibly private. There are no neighbors to the left or right, and homes in the front and rear are far away, giving the property a peaceful “in the woods” feeling while still being close to everything.
