For clarification to future guests reading this review, the reservation was cancelled five days prior to arrival, and the guest did not stay at the property. Therefore, this review does not reflect an experience with the home itself, its cleanliness, amenities, or accommodations. The reservation was booked under a clearly stated nonrefundable cancellation policy. When contacted about moving the reservation to a future date approximately a year later, we explained that we were unable to transfer the reservation that far in advance due to uncertainties with future availability, seasonal rates, and pricing. We understand that unexpected circumstances arise and that cancellation policies can be disappointing when travel plans change. However, these policies are established at the time of booking and must be applied consistently and fairly to all guests. We take great pride in caring for our guests and our property, and we regret that our inability to accommodate the requested change was interpreted otherwise. We remain committed to providing a welcoming, well-maintained property and a positive experience for the guests who stay with us. Our reviews prove that.
