Summary:

Classic New England lake cottage charm right on the shores of Newfound Lake — one of the cleanest lakes in all of New England. Cottage Four is a warm, characterful retreat with hardwood floors, a relaxed nautical palette, and direct water views from the bedroom that will have you reaching for your coffee before your alarm goes off.



The Space:

The cottage flows through several distinct rooms, each with its own personality. The main living room features two plaid sofas, a flat-screen TV, a bold navy accent wall, and a rocking chair — cozy, casual, and very "lake house." A second sitting room connects the spaces and adds extra lounging room, with a daybed (twin trundle underneath) for flexible sleeping when the group needs it.



The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for real cooking: gas range/oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave, Keurig and drip coffee maker, toaster, and all the cookware and dishware you'll need. A dining table seats 3–4 right in the kitchen, and a separate drop-leaf table for 2 sits lakeside — morning coffee with that view is hard to beat.



Bedrooms:

✔ Bedroom 1: Queen bed with panoramic lake and mountain views through large picture windows. Dresser and ceiling fan. The standout room in the cottage.

✔ Bedroom 2: Two twin beds, dresser, ceiling fan. Bright and clean — perfect for kids or extra guests.

✔ Sitting Room: Daybed with twin trundle, offering additional sleeping flexibility for the group.

✔ Linens and towels are available for a $55/stay fee, or guests are welcome to bring their own.



Bathroom:

One full bathroom with a shower, vanity, and classic cottage character throughout.

The cottage includes access to a shared dock, giving you direct lake access for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply dangling your feet over the edge with a cold drink in hand. Various outdoor seating areas invite you to soak in the stunning mountain and sunset views, while a private grill lets you fire up dinner al fresco. A shared firepit on the property is perfect for evening s'mores and stargazing.



Mooring Available: Bringing a boat? A mooring is available for $75 per stay—just let us know in advance. Please note boat and trailer parking is not permitted on-site. Trailer storage is available at a nearby marina for a small fee; simply stop in and mention you’re staying at Lakeside Cottages to arrange parking. If arriving on Saturday with a trailer, please plan to drop it off before 2 PM while the marina is open.

Guest Access:

Guests will have full, exclusive access to the entire cottage during their stay — all indoor living spaces, both main-level bedrooms, the full bathroom, the fully equipped kitchen, and all common areas, including the living room.



Outdoors, guests have access to various seating areas, a private grill, and shared dock access — your direct gateway to Newfound Lake for swimming, fishing, and waterfront relaxation. The shared firepit on the property is also available for evening use. Two designated parking spaces are included with the cottage.



This is a cottage community with 6 cottages and a main house on the property. Some outdoor amenities such as the dock and firepit are shared with neighboring cottage guests, so we ask that all guests be respectful of the space and those around them.

You're a short drive from Wellington State Park, Polar Caves, Cardigan Mountain trailheads.. For bigger outings, Weirs Beach, Meredith Village, the Tilton Outlets, and the Mt. From the cottage, you're just a short walk from dining, ice cream, and the public beach — making it easy to leave the car behind for most of your lakefront days. For day trips, major routes connect you quickly to Meredith, Plymouth, Laconia, and beyond.



Ride-share availability is limited in the area, so personal transportation is strongly advised. Two parking spaces are included with the cottage.
