Located in Los Compadres district of Palm Springs CA, this ranch-style vacation retreat offers a private backyard with spectacular mountain views, and a private pool and spa (heated for a fee), all on a lovely cul-de-sac close to everything Palm Springs has to offer! Designed to maximize the outstanding views and year-round sunshine, the large windows and sliding doors look out over the lush backyard and private pool deck from the living room, family room, kitchen, and main bedroom. You and your guests can relax on a lounge chair by the pool or enjoy cocktails under the covered terrace as the sun sets behind the gorgeous Palm Springs mountain backdrop. The family room is open to the kitchen and informal dining area with expansive ceilings and features a 65' TV, a large sofa, and comfortable seating. The kitchen in this Palm Springs vacation retreat is fully equipped with quality appliances, a gas range, and abundant granite countertop prep space. The large primary suite offers a large walk-in closet and views of the mountains. The primary also features a 32' TV, a large attached bathroom with tub and walk-in shower, and direct access to the backyard pool and spa. The guest bedrooms all feature queen beds and share a hall bath. There is another half bath located off the kitchen.

This Palm Springs vacation retreat is conveniently located approximately three miles from downtown Palm Springs. Located just north of Highway 111, it's also close to Rancho Mirage and Palm Desert attractions as well. Enjoy many popular area events including Modernism week, The White Party, Bob Hope Classic / Humana Challenge Golf Tournament, the BNP Paribas Tennis Tournament, the Coachella Valley Music Festival, and Stagecoach!

Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

There is a $500 security deposit for long-term stays. Payment is to be collected before check-in.
The utility deposit is $1,500 for 28 nights with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays.

The house is fine. Disappointed about the afterchekin notice on the swimming pool heating fee. Dissapointed about the poor cooking ware and utensils not to mention the glassware. In general the house needs a complete maintenance.

Holiday Week

Property is clean enough and enjoyable. Not much on interior decorations. Everything worked fine except the guest bathroom shower (not much from the shower head). Advertised $72.00 dollars a day to heat pool and Hot tub, but when I inquired about it after committing to rent for the week, I was told it would cost $112.00 a day. Not good! Should be ashamed to be so deceiving!

Disappointing - do not recommend!

We have rented a lot in Palm Springs, and this was the worst experience so far. Read the review from February and basically the same problems are STILL there despite Vacasa claiming they were addressed. The covered patio and the view are gorgeous, but this property needs SIGNIFICANT maintenance before it should be listed, let alone at this price point. There were large stains on the carpets. peeling paint, broken screens, outdoor fan didn't work, coffee maker didn't work, and worst of all - the pool was in really bad shape. Tons of hastily-repaired dents and cracks, the heating system was ancient and never worked properly (we called Vacasa about it but no one ever came to the house despite being told they would). The pool heating fee was the most expensive we've paid, for literally the oldest system we've ever seen. Vacasa did refund the heating fees after we called them again, but we felt bamboozled by the difference between the pictures and the reality of this place. Most concerning was the presence of black algae in areas of the pool and the exposed pool light, literally hanging out of its socket into the pool. This property should NOT be offered for rent until these issues are addressed.

Nice Place, Nothing to write home about

Let me start out by saying, the customer service was great. The location was great. We had a nice time. Now to the review. When we arrived, we noticed a lot of cracked floor tiles, and some were loose. The master Bath shower was not great. The floor drain was not attached and one of the guests cut his toe on it. The shower head was really low. The dishwasher backed up the disposal, and we had to wash all of our dishes by hand the first week, after the sink backed up so bad. The first day there we used the dishwasher and noticed that the dishes never got clean. Then we noticed that the soap dispenser in the dishwasher would not stay closed and we improvised and used tape to hold it closed to correctly wash the dishes. Moving on to the main sliding door. The outside handle was missing a screw, and when the attendant came to fix it, all he did was put it back in. He didn't even really attempt to "Fix" it. It fell out after he left, sooo. Again a couple of pieces of tape and voila, it held for the rest of the week. On to the pool/hot tub, No where in the write up did it say that we would have to pay 90./day to heat them, and when we arrived the pool was 62 degrees. What good is a hot tub if you have to use it an ice bath. The pillows were really stained and flat/hard as rocks. The beds were not great no real support.And finally, the noise ordinance issue. It would have been nice to have music outside in the afternoon while on the patio having cocktails Etc.

Just okay

The rental was just okay, they really need to make some fixes. Shower door in master doesn’t slide, feels like your going to break it, shower head in other bathroom was terrible. Many of the outlets are loose and a fire hazard. Kitchen is not well stocked with tools. Lots of extra towels and pool towels. But pillows are gross and stained. The weekend was great but not because of the house. Also the sprinkler situation in the back yard is so stupid considering there is a drought California. Maybe don’t water for 5 mins every hour starting at 11am.

We booked this trip as a gift for our mothers birthday and the house was less than satisfactory, I feel for the price we paid ylwe deserved a better house for the weekend. More broken and outdated things than I have time to list, I would not recommend this specific house again.

This is my third stay at a Vacation Palm Springs home and it was…just ok compared to the others. Like other reviewers, I agree that this home needs some updating. I don’t need fancy, but I do need more functionality. 1. This is a 4 bedroom home with only 2 lounge chairs on the pool deck. 2. The toaster needs to be replaced, if you have both hands on it, it will shock you. 3. At least one of the dining room chairs has a nail sticking out of the bottom and my friend impaled her finger. 4. In the kitchen: none of the cookware is non-stick anymore. There’s a cocktail shaker, but none of the pieces fit together. 5. Broken trash cans, no recycling bin. The guest bath trash can has no pedal to open the lid—so when you throw trash away, you have to lift the lid with your hand every time. 6. The shower head in the guest bath is coming out of the wall. It’s also pretty low, so I had to duck to wash my hair. As for good things, while the pool and hot tub do need resurfacing, the outdoor space is quite nice. The pool is big, there were a bunch of floaties, the mountains were lovely. The outdoor dining table was great. Lots of towels. Having a washer/dryer was nice.

Aging gem in the desert

This property is showing it’s age and is in serious need of some TLC. We almost always give great reviews to properties we stay at but we genuinely hope the owner would put in needed repairs and updates. The house itself is a cute mid century home with awesome views of the pool and mountains. We loved it! It is in a cozy, quiet neighborhood. It was clean and in pretty good shape except for older kitchen cupboards with a broken door. The outdoor living area in the back could be so amazing with some updated furniture, more and newer lounge chairs, and resurfacing of the pool itself. Also some lawn games would be great. The lawn was filled with tall weeds and grass when we arrived and the scheduled lawn maintenance never happened. When we arrived, the pool was flooding the patio area and lawn and when we let maintenance know it was a safety issue they fixed it within a day. Even with some issues we still thoroughly enjoy ourselves and felt so fortunate to have the sun and heat we were hoping for!

Wonderful family vacation place

Home was exactly as shown in photos. It is located on a cut de sac which was nice and quiet. House was clean upon arrival. Out door seating area was lovely. House had all the kitchen accessories we needed - even a blender! We had 6 adults and space was perfect. Only issue we had was the wifi was no where near strong enough for 6 people - 4 of whom were working. Wifi was stronger at the Starbucks! And there was no cable TV so all viewing was done via streaming or apps. This was a challenge given the wifi situation. I will say that we contacted vacasa who sent over someone the same day to see what could be done. Without owners permission there wasn't much they could do. There are plenty of pool towels and pool cleaner came by once during the week. Water was very cold though!! Might want to consider paying for heating if you will use it. Vacasa staff was excellent at communicating before, during and at check out. I was impressed with that. I would return to this home if wifi is upgraded- we really enjoyed our week there.

Beautiful pool with mountain view

We had a lovely stay. Only issues were that the alarm went off when we got there & we didn’t have the code. Other is that the carpet in the bedroom smelled so strongly if febreze or cleaning products I was unable to sleep in there. Also sheets & towels smelled strongly like febreze or detergent. Would have preferred that the pool maintenance was done after our checkout - we were unable to use the morning before checkout because it was being done.

Disappointed

Very tired and in need of updating. Spent first day dealing with repairs required to get master bath hot water working. Second day more problems due to circuit breaker blowing when fan run in Jan bathroom. Noisy hot water pipes and outdoor screen banging at night. Water leak in back yard eave by patio not pretty to look at. Kitchen is NOT granite (this is blatantly misrepresented in listing). VACASA staff mostly unresponsive in trying to speak with them about this.

Perfect for a group.

Great place to host a group. The house has so much space to absorb people. The rooms are quiet and private. The pool area is large and really lush with a great covered patio which is essential in the heat. Only dinged 1 star because the pool need a good cleaning. It's a large and deep pool, but if it were cleaned well it would be resort like!

Great pool

My daughters had such a good time playing in the pool. The house is spacious with a nice covered patio. We appreciated the well stocked towels.

Need some updating

We had a lovely time during our stay but the house definitely needs some updating! The pool and hot tub need some updating and resurfacing.

Great Location Home In Palm Springs

this home is less than 10 min from the airport. about 15 min to the DT strip. Close to the grocery store. It's in a good neighborhood. Great Backyard - lots of space, good sun and shade, clean pool. There are only 2 lawn chairs (listing online shows more) and 2 pool lounge floaties. IT would be great if they had at least 4 of each to accommodate more guests. House was clean - kitchen was well stocked - Needs a working coffee pot! they had lots of towels

Spacious but needs work

We had 8 people and this was a great house to spread out in. Pool needs resurfacing. They ask you not to play music outside by the pool! Some sort of city ordinance. Wish I had know before I booked.

Very nice house, great for families

We stayed at the home for 6 days. Check-in was a bit tedious given COVID restrictions (getting a person on the phone took a while). Also, I asked multiple times about early check-in and each told me it should work, they never accommodated my request even though I know the house was ready (we were literally waiting in the driveway...). But the property itself was great. Plenty of room for a larger family or a couple small families. Pool was pretty nice, but as a few other reviewers noted, could use a resurfacing. House was clean for the most part, but carpet in some bedrooms was stained.

This place is terrible.

We just got back from a weekend stay. We saw the bad review from February and we called and we were told that all of the issues mentioned would be fixed. The only thing that was fixed was the pool heater. It did work but we had to constantly manually switch from pool to spa at the side of the house. There is a low hanging AC unit that my partner hit his head on( if you’re over 6 ft you will hit it without ducking); this is a safety issue and no tape or anything marking it. The temperature monitor on the sos does not work and if you don’t watch it will continue to heat- it was 112F at one point and nearly burned us. In the ad you see 5 lounge chairs but those are town, ripped, mildew covered in the side of the house. There are two other lounges but not enough for 5 people- only 2. The pool has cracked tiles as mentioned and it looks like digits in the pool bottom we’re patched up but in the spa there are cracks chunks of the concrete seat broken and you can scrape your bottom in them; broken shards of concrete on the bottom of the spa as well. We tried to stay outside as much as possible as the inside was depressing. As soon as we walked in the house you immediately have a musty, old, mold kind of smell - our kids described it as an d bowling alley smell. The carpets in 3 of the 4 bedrooms is old, worn and stained (as mentioned in the February review). There is an old tint on the windows that make the back bedrooms dark and depressing. We tried to stay outside as much as possible as inside, especially the bedrooms were so depressing and such a dump. Mattresses are cheap and uncomfortable. The screens on the doors have rips and tears and if you try to use you end up with crickets in the house. The sliding doors are difficult to open close and some of the lock switches just have a metal piece to lock instead of a normal switch- these should be replaced. There are directions for 4 different TV remotes- none of which work; we used one with no directions that did seem to work. The coffee maker in the kitchen does not have a lid that fits and when we tried to use it spilled hot coffee all over the counter. On day 2 Saturday we turned on the bathroom showers; master had no hot water. The other bathroom did but when used we heard a loud banging from the garage- we thought someone was breaking into the house- it was coming from the water heater. We called and a maintenance person came over- he was very nice and said it was calcium deposits in the tank that were banging around; he had come out 3 weeks prior for this issue but the owner did not fix- again a safety issue. He said he could try and fix our master bath on Easter Sunday but it would mean turning off the water for a few hours; so rather than interrupt our trip any more than it was especially on our last day the five of us used one bathroom shower which was a huge pain. So this place was a huge disappointment and is not up to the standard of another place we used from vacation PS. We left messages for three days for management to call us back with no response; this just demonstrates managements unwillingness to address the issues or to take the safety issues seriously. This place is like an old motel 6 quality. We will not ever come back. Our family was looking forward to this trip for months and we were extremely disappointed.
