We recently stayed at this Galveston property and wanted to share an honest review for future guests. The location was convenient and check-in was straightforward, but unfortunately we ran into several maintenance and cleanliness issues during our stay.Upon arrival, there was no hot water and the shower water pressure was very low. The refrigerator and freezer were not working, which resulted in us having to throw away groceries and purchase ice throughout the stay. We also discovered that the AC units were not functioning properly until we cleaned the filters ourselves, which were very dirty.A few other items needed attention as well: the smoke detector was non-functional and kept beeping until we removed the battery, the ceiling fan remote in the bedroom was broken, and the living room TV speaker was not working. Additionally, while there is a cleaning fee, the floors were noticeably dirty (walking barefoot left our feet black), which was disappointing.We also had someone outside the property for an extended period (over 2 hours) taking photos, including picturews of us as we came and went from the house, which was a bit creepy.Overall, the property has potential, but it seems like it would benefit from more consistent maintenance and a more thorough cleaning between guests. With some attention to these areas, it could provide a much better experience.
