Serving as a fabulous home base, this property features a bright and sunny interior with wood flooring, vaulted ceilings, and new furnishings. Enjoy the coastal breeze on the large screened deck. Underneath the home, you will find a gas grill, outdoor kitchen, boat parking, outdoor shower, and a convenient fish cleaning station.



The sparkling kitchen is equipped with all you need to create your favorite meals, including a full suite of stainless steel appliances and a four-person island. After beach days, cozy up for movie night in the living area.

Spring Break- Family of 6

Fantastic property in great location. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Screened porch was perfect. Beds were extremely comfortable. Well stocked with all the essentials. We rented a golf cart from the Beach Shack and had a great time on the island.

This property was great during our recent stay on Dauphin Island! It was clean and well maintained. We loved that the property had an air fryer for our leftovers! Only recommendation would be to bring your own toilet paper :)

This home is perfect!! Nice bedrooms. Kitchen is stocked with anything you could need. And located in the middle of the island give a bit more privacy, and makes for the perfect centrally located spot on the island.

Very nice vacation!

The Cajun Retreat was a great mix of beach and camping vibes. The home sits right off the main road that goes thru Dauphin Island. Trees surround the home and offer a sense of wilderness with beach access within miles from the home. Recommend renting a golf cart to cruise to the beaches, dinner, shop, and to tour the island.

Clean and spacious

We loved the property but all the stairs were difficult to navigate. The only coffee cups were TINY and coffee in the Keurig even on small cup setting ran over. The place needs regular sized coffee cups. Loved the place overall but not quite a 5 star place.

It's a lovely house. We are old...80+, would like reading lights by the beds, reading lights in the living room, a chair in the bedrooms to use while putting on shoes. The BBQ Grill was as old as we are.

Mostly good

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The only issuse we had were one night the alarm went off and the code was unable to reset it. Also, if you are traveling with a dog there are lots of ticks on the island.(not the property owners fault). All in all the stay was a success. The home is centrally located on the island so it was walking distant to the local store, bakery,etc. I will definitely stay again

Great vacation home!

This house was so perfect for our family! Plenty of space, indoor and outdoor! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Very well stocked for towels and extra linens as well. The house is in a great location. Short drives to the beach, and I love that parking passes for the beach we’re included. The description of the house does need to be updated though. It states 3 1/2 bath, but there is only 2 1/2. Not a big deal, just misleading. Would definitely rent here again if we come back to Dauphin Island!

Cute Place to stay

This is cute home to rent and has everything you need. BUT we had termites everywhere and found out it was mating season at the time of the year we came. They were crawling all in the house especially upstairs and in our things, in the beds upstairs causing us to leave a day early. When we asked for help from the realty in charge they said turn lights off. It was horrible and when we turned an outside light off they came in a mad rush under the door. Not just a few but lots. Like I said the house was cute but the people taking care of it should do better when guest are having this kind of issue. We had friends staying in a different house on the island and they did not have the termite troubles we did. Pretty gross!

Our homes are treated quarterly for pests, and our property manager has assured us that they are taking preventative measures to combat the entrance of unwanted critters. Regrettably, with the home's rainforest location, as well as the climate of the island, pests are not uncommon. We hope to have the opportunity to host you for another great stay in the future.
