This immaculate 3 bedroom/3 bath condo is the ultimate vacation experience! You'll be so pleased with your stay at this location! The Whale House is beautifully decorated to celebrate your beach vacation in luxury. Friends and families will love the spacious floor plan. This unit is rated a guests favorite! Located on the 2nd floor.

Everyone will love the relaxing surroundings, the close access to the beach and the beach club, and the Great Views! This condo is one of the best values at Pointe West! The whale House is an ocean view Second-floor condo just a few minutes walk to the beach. With fantastic views, ocean breezes, and comfortable furnishings, The Whale House offers the perfect vacation for large families or multiple friends traveling together.

The centerpiece of the Pointe West resort is the stunning oceanfront Beach Club. Overlooking three miles of pristine Gulf of Mexico shoreline, this incredible full-service facility is unlike anything else on the Texas coast. The Beach Club offers endless choices to suit your mood... soak up the sun beside the pool, or soak away your cares in a bubbling hot tub. Play games with your kids or work up an appetite at the Fitness Center. You can also order food and drinks at The Pointe West Restaurant.

Wristbands for Pointe West Beach Club amenities are $25 per person (free for under 4 year old) for the entire stay and sold by the Beach Club. Wristbands are not required to stay in unit. If you are planning to use the amenities. Please msg us with your name, phone number and email address so we can complete the pre-registration process for you to pay and pick up the wristbands. Only pre-registered guest can purchase wristbands. Walk-in will not be allowed.

There is an elevator in the building, which is completely new since 2024. However, due to the nature of the weather condition, the elevator can be out of service. There are no refunds for elevator malfunctions.

This is a really great condo! It’s walking distance to the beach and the clubhouse pool. Everything we needed was at the house including beach towels. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. The decor was so relaxing and comfortable. It really felt like a home away from home. Great place to get away!

Stayed there over memorial weekend. Very nice condo, the host was very accommodating leaving us all sorts of treats/coffee/etc. We all had a blast and will be returning. You are required to pay extra for a wristband to use the pool/workout facilities, so that was silly, but otherwise no complaints. Also not much traffic there as it's a good 30 min south of Galveston.

Condo was absolutely perfect for our 2 families. The decor throughout the entire unit was amazing. Our kids enjoyed the adorable bunk beds, toys and books. Despite having rain all weekend, we really enjoyed our stay! Beds and sheets were very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Great location and close to the club house. Our background is in consulting, and for most of our career, we practically lived in hotels and on airplanes. Travel has always been a big part of our lives — both professionally and personally. By the time our daughter was five, she had already visited 15 countries.

After spending so much time in hotels for work, we grew tired of the cold, “matchbox” feeling of standard rooms. When we travel as a family, we’ve always preferred STR — having a kitchen, outdoor space, and a home with character makes all the difference. Those small human touches turn a trip into a real experience.

We began hosting short-term rentals in 2021 with our beachfront property in Galveston. That home holds special meaning for our family. Before we owned our own place, we rented it while I was pregnant and throughout our daughter’s early childhood. We celebrated each of her birthdays there with friends on the beach, and it became part of so many beautiful milestones and memories.

The owner generously shared their home with us during such a meaningful chapter of our lives, and we’ve always been grateful. Now, we’re honored to share our spaces with others in the same spirit.

The Whale House has long been our family’s vacation home — a place that represents rest, simplicity, and meaningful time together. We love it slightly removed from the busy center, quieter and less touristy. During the off-season, pulling into the peaceful, nearly empty parking lot always feels like taking a deep breath. The car-free beach allows kids and dogs to run safely and freely, and even in the summer, it never feels overly crowded.

We first started coming here when we had a baby, and we vividly remember how stressful traveling with little ones can be — packing an entire SUV, worrying about forgetting something essential,

We designed the home to reduce stress for families. With rounded furniture corners and thoughtful touches throughout, it’s stocked with baby and toddler essentials — including a pack and play, bottle warmer, changing pad, infant bath, high chair, and toys — so you don’t have to overpack or worry about the small things.

The space features a clean, minimalist aesthetic while still feeling warm and inviting. It’s meant to be a place where you can truly exhale — quiet the outside noise, enjoy the waves, and simply reconnect.
