Makani Sands # 302 ist ein 3/2/2-Stadthaus im 3. und 4. Stock mit 3 Lanais mit spektakulärer Aussicht. Schneller Zugang zu unserem Strand und BBQs. Diese schöne Wohnung ist mit Kunstwerken lokaler hawaiianischer Künstler gefüllt. Gourmet-Küche mit neuen Tiefkühltruhe. Im Obergeschoss befindet sich das Hauptschlafzimmer mit einer Badewanne im Whirlpool-Stil und einer privaten Veranda am Meer. Gästeschlafzimmer hat Queen-Bett und eigenem Bad nur komplett renoviert 2017, Lanai hat mt. Ansichten. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein 3. Schlafzimmer, ein umgebautes Büro mit einem ausziehbaren Bett, das zu Zwillingen führt. Es gibt ein Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer und ein 1/2 Bad vom Flur entfernt. Neue Vorhänge im Wohnzimmer und Tiger Bamboo Böden im Obergeschoss. Es gibt Kabel-TVs, und es gibt einen Safe für Ihre Wertsachen. Es gibt einen schnellen Zugang zu unserem Strand zum Schwimmen, Kajakfahren und Schnorcheln und in den Wintermonaten gibt es einen Platz in der ersten Reihe für Walbeobachtungen. Great property, you can top the view and location with a beach right out front! Plenty of room and well-appointed, it has everything you need for a great stay. Can't say enough but will gladly stay here anytime.

Beautiful ocean side stay

My family and I stayed at Makani Sands and enjoyed gorgeous ocean views. We loved having the ocean right outside, and enjoyed hanging out on the patio and balconies. Our apartment was very clean and well maintained. Would highly recommend for anyone coming to Maui. Great location to, could walk to coffee shops, restaurants, bakeries,etc.

Great Experience

We stayed on Maui to celebrate my wife, her mother, and grandmother who were all celebrating milestone birthdays this year. We had a great time. The property was incredible. We checked in on a Sunday afternoon after a delayed flight in and the process was super easy. Within 5 minutes of arriving, we'd already seen whales and sea turtles off the balcony. This would continue to be a feature for the entire trip. It's walking distance from many shops, restaurants, and recreation, and the well equipped kitchen makes it easy to save money by cooking some of your meals instead of going out. The beach and patio in the back are great and there are grills for cooking out. After long days of running around or hanging out at the beach, the heated pool was great to relax in and end the day. There was very little that wasn't answered ahead of time, but Tammy was available for any questions and was super friendly. If we had to offer any constructive criticism, it would be that the lights and AC sometimes seemed counterintuitive to use. Most likely it was user error and didn't hinder our experience in the least. We enjoyed many hours on the lanais watching the whales, turtles, sunsets, and stars. We'll definitely be back to Maui and when we do we'll be staying at Makani Sands!

Right on the beach

Family of 5 adults - just the right size for us and can’t get a better view of the ocean. You can walk outside and go down a few steps and be in the ocean if you would like. Only downfall of the condo is that there is no room in twin bed room to put your luggage and things. A/C was hard to figure out how to work but we finally got it going as well. We would stay again when going to Maui

Nice property and great location. Amazing ocean views right from the lanai. Crazy amount of art work! Tammy made everything easier. She answered all our questions and was always easy to reach with any questions. Would definitely book here again!

Great views!

I left a longer review on the property manager site, so I'll leave a shorter one here. This place is alllll about the views. It was incredible to watch whales and sea turtles right from the Lanai and listen to the waves as we fell asleep. My only wish is that there were more space to store our luggage and supplies. We loved the art, the location, the overall vibes and would definitely stay here again!

Nice location, dated condo

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had family meet from Japan, Colorado, and Connecticut in Maui for the first time since 2019. The condo itself was well situated despite the fire in Lahaina. The problem was with the dishwasher which appeared to be original to the condo. When we discussed with the front desk that it was not working, it appeared to be an issue which had been plaguing the previous visitors, and had been reported on before. So a handyman was sent over, who reported that it needed to be replaced. And in the process of inspecting it, he managed to loosen something, because for the next 2 days there was a constant leak in the kitchen, which made the tile turn into an ice skating rink. Each of the children staying in the condo managed to slip and fall at least once. When the front desk was informed of this, they were nonplussed. As this was new years eve it was difficult to get someone to come over but a handyman eventually made it and found the leak source. However, the dishwasher was never replaced and honestly, I doubt it ever will be. So good luck to the next set of occupants, anything advertising a functional dishwasher is probably a lie. Otherwise the place is nice but very dated, does not appear to have been renovated since the building was constructed.

Stunning views!

We came in winter to see the whales and this place did not disappoint. Sitting on the lanai watching the whales swimming by was the most amazing part of our trip. You can also snorkel right outside the property which was nice. We will definitely be coming back again! Thank you.

First timers in Maui

Our family loved the property! Their was 6 of us and we fit very comfortably in the condo. The views were something out of a magazine from our lanai. Tammy was easy to get ahold of with any questions. The only thing to really say was the condo was not stocked with toilet paper or paper towels, and their was only 4 bathroom towels so we had to keep washing, and the a/c was not working very well....but those things are minimal compared to the great location, the relaxing vibe, and the size of the condo was great. We would definitely recommend for anyone with families to enjoy. Hopefully we will be back soon!

Maui Stay

Makani Sands checked all the boxes. We wanted to be in a quiet location, on the beach and close to various stores and shops. The unit 302 was perfect for our group of 7. Nice to have AC. Check in and out was perfect with Tammy. Tammy was super responsive and on property if we needed anything. No complaints.

This stay was absolutely exceeded our expectations!! Everything was perfect. Tammy the property manager greeted us and treated us like family. The water, the amenities all of it, just absolutely perfect. We met other guests on the Lanai and enjoyed every visit. We WILL be back! Top Notch!

Good Stay Overall

Reviewer Comments: Many good things - some, not so much....Location a little inconvenient as far as access to eating and shops - right on the beach which was WONDERFUL!! Kitchen fully stocked with dishes spices etc but tiny ants around the sink area (they didn't bug me that much but might bother some) - one bedroom on the main floor which is awesome but only a powder bath next to it and other full bathrooms are upstairs - which was fine but there was no room or shelves etc to put stuff in the powder bath for those using it to get ready in. Patio was way overcrowded with furniture and hard to move around...Overall it was a nice stay....
