Property #457887 review

After I booked this beach-front house, the owner called to tell me he made a mistake and needed to switch me to his other property #457887 but never updated VRBO officially, so I'm leaving my review here. We were close to the trip date, so we didn't have a choice given we were renting another house on the same street, to split our big group so we all can meet up on the beach every day. Owner said this newly offered house has the biggest heated pool in the area, so I was ok with the swap vs. the beach front house. During our stay, the owner would not turn on the pool heater stating it is a fire hazard given their gas-heater system and the strong wind. The wind was typical for the beach/bay front properties in my experience (and no rain), but had to I assume the owner would make the right decision for his property based on the condition of his heating system. We rent beach/bay pool houses/villas frequently, and it's my first time we could not have the pool heated "because of wind" for 3 days!! The house itself was dated and dark, so our inability to use its main feature= Pool the entire weekend was sad. During our stay, the owner called and asked a lot of invasive questions about the profile of my group. He should have asked any questions before confirming and receiving payment, NOT disturb guests during stay. My group (back-to-school gathering of suburban moms and kids) was extremely quiet and we spent zero time outside. Overall, a very strange experience and wanted to share

As advertised, house on Atlantic with great views and plenty of bedroom/bathrooms.

The property is in a great location on Dune Road, with great 2nd floor views and backing up to the Atlantic. Is as advertised, with plenty of bedrooms and nicely with most having their own adjoining bathrooms. Please was clean although a little dated. Stephen, the owner was great and very attentive to our requests including an offer to use a pool at one of his other properties since it was off-season.

Westhampton Dunes!

Steven’s property was impeccable! It had everything a family could ever ask for on vacation - charm, space, functional elegance and Steven’s beautiful art! We had the best experience we’ve ever had in the Hamptons and we’ve been coming here for years! The property is right on the beach with plenty of space and ease of back and forth for the kids. We really needed this getaway to revive our quarantined lives. We felt immediately welcome by the ocean, the house. and the owner. Great Holiday in a Spectacular Oceanfront Home

My family and I had a wonderful stay - the house was extremely clean, beautifully furnished, well equipped, and had fantastic views. Fantastic stay

We were greeted by the owner upon arrival. He showed us the house along with how everything worked. He was nice enough to say if there were anything we needed we would supply it from his own house from down the street. The home itself was spotless. Beautiful views from every spot in the house. All of the beds were comfortable and all linens were supplied. Plenty of parking. At one point we had 10 cars in the driveway. Great sound system in every room including the bathrooms. A fantastic huge semi outdoor shower also with music. We will be back. I can't thank Stephen enough for his hospitality.

Rented this house for our wedding weekend. Some of the bachelors and their girlfriends stayed at the house. It was perfect!! The house is beautiful inside and right on the beach. Steven the host makes sure everything is ready to go before you arrive and is readily available with any questions you have while staying in the Hamptons. It's paradise!!

We have visited the Hamptons for the last 3 summers and stayed at the house for the last two. Steven is an incredible host...he was kind, helpful and responsive for any questions we had. The house itself is beautiful and couldn't be located in a better spot. We stayed inland in the past, but there is nothing like being right on the beach, which in June was very quiet and private. The house feels big and spacious. There is nothing like waking up to the sound of the ocean and spending the morning on the deck watching the waves. I would highly recommend this property for a rental.

Guys Weekend ...

Exactly as billed and as Steven said it would be. We had a great weekend at the house; father / son weekend. The pool was perfect for the boys, and the short walk across the street to the beach enhanced the experience. The rooms were spacious and fine size for a beach house, no issues. Reverse living allowed you to take in the views as well. It's a short walk to a great bar / restaurant on either side (if you need a night out). We also had the pleasure of hanging with Steven for a few hours as well; not only was he an excellent host but he was a ton of fun to chat with. Def recommend this property for a gathering.

Great Stay In Westhampton

We spent two days at this house for small budget film shoot. Steven was very kind to open up his home to us and not only allowed us to stay there, but film in the home as well. The house is right on the beach and is exactly the kind of thing we needed to pull of our production. Steven was also very helpful and was fantastic to work with. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay with family and friends!
