What a fun way to celebrate your grandson's 3rd birthday! With a pool to splash in and Gatlinburg just minutes away, it sounds like a pretty terrific birthday adventure! We're sorry to hear that your son's birthday getaway didn't quite meet your expectations. We're glad the kitchen and grill worked well for your family gathering, but disappointed to learn about the other concerns you experienced. Cleanliness is something we take seriously, and we'll be reviewing your comments regarding the floors with our housekeeping team. We were also surprised to hear about the pool cues and theater room, as none of these concerns were reported during your stay. Our team is always happy to help troubleshoot equipment or come out to address issues whenever possible. As for the hot tub, we completely drain, clean, and refill it between reservations, so the fresh water does need time to reach its operating temperature after check-in. Under normal circumstances, this takes hours rather than days. We weren't aware of any heating concerns during your stay, but would have gladly checked on it had we known. We understand that lighting preferences vary, particularly on rainy days, and we're sorry the home's ambiance wasn't quite what you had hoped for. We hope that despite these disappointments, your family was still able to make some wonderful memories celebrating your son's birthday.

We’re sorry to hear the ping pong balls were missing during your stay. Having recently taken over management of the resort, we are now implementing monthly inventory and preventative maintenance reviews to ensure items like this are consistently stocked and ready for guests. We are sorry your visit was interrupted and that members of your party experienced falls outside the home. We also understand how difficult it must have been given the memorial you were traveling to attend. We would like to clarify that we were made aware of the situation when one of our cleaning team members notified us of the fall. Our Guest Relations Manager then promptly spoke with your party regarding the circumstances and immediately advised that the reservation could be canceled through VRBO with our full approval for a refund. While we currently do not offer wheelchair-accessible cabins or advertise any of our homes as ADA-accessible, we do work to provide clear listing details so guests can choose the property that best fits their group’s specific needs and mobility considerations. Guest safety is always important to us, and we take all feedback seriously.
