The home, neighborhood and location are all excellent. Close to the downtown area but not too close. Nearby restaurants and grocery store so you don’t have to tackle huge crowds every time you leave the cabin. The cabin was clean, spacious, and so much fun! Only tip is to bring ping pong balls. We couldn’t find any but a trip to Walmart solved that issue. Great place to walk your dogs. There are bears that will check the garbage cage/bear bins so make sure you latch them each time. We had a great trip and the cabin is perfect for teens and elementary age kids with all the amenities. Will stay here again!

We also appreciate you sharing the bear photo—seeing wildlife from a safe distance is definitely part of the mountain experience. Thank you as well for highlighting the importance of securely latching the bear bins each time, as our local residents are always on the lookout for an easy snack. We’re sorry to hear the ping pong balls were missing during your stay. Having recently taken over management of the resort, we are now implementing monthly inventory and preventative maintenance reviews to ensure items like this are consistently stocked and ready for guests. This should not be an issue moving forward. Of course, if anything is ever needed during a future stay, please let us know and our team will be happy to promptly assist. Photos show a red couch and loveseat and they are still there but covered. I assume to hide wear or damage. Was not able to watch the living room tv due to some programing issue . Some remotes had I dead batteries I think. I did not contact host because we did not come to gatlinburg to watch tv,but Need to attend to this for future guests. overall we enjoyed our stay. That said I would urge some updating. The hot tub cover is falling apart, the outside wicker chairs did not look safe to sit in.

My husband went to the door and spoke to the handyman when we arrived & found out he was there to fix a broken toilet flusher handle in one of the bathrooms. He also told us that we were there in the off season & won’t see anyone in the area except 2 families on a different road. After he fixed it we didn’t see him again. I never stepped foot inside both my husband and I fell outside on the steep stone steps at the 2nd step from the bottom & had to have the ambulance called to help me up. We couldn’t get ahold of the owner nor the handyman because we had no service at the location. Remote is an understatement. My daughter went to get help from a stranger and she got ahold of the owner through the stranger when I was helped up by the ambulance & got into range of signal the owner agreed to give our money back. He told us to contact you to get our money back & was told to say that he said it was ok & to talk to him. We aren’t trouble makers. We are a disabled family. The only ones who aren’t disabled are the 2 grandchildren that were with us. Both my daughters, husband, and my 2 granddaughters were up there to attend a memorial for both of my deceased parents. Unfortunately we had to head back to South Carolina & were unable to successfully attend the ceremony. Hopefully when my husband & I heal up from the injuries we received from the fall we will make a trip back up to pay our respects to my parents. Again I never got the chance to view the inside of the beautiful place.

We also understand how difficult it must have been given the memorial you were traveling to attend. We would like to clarify that we were made aware of the situation when one of our cleaning team members notified us of the fall. Our Guest Relations Manager then promptly spoke with your party regarding the circumstances and immediately advised that the reservation could be canceled through VRBO with our full approval for a refund. While we currently do not offer wheelchair-accessible cabins or advertise any of our homes as ADA-accessible, we do work to provide clear listing details so guests can choose the property that best fits their group’s specific needs and mobility considerations. Guest safety is always important to us, and we take all feedback seriously. We sincerely wish you a full recovery and hope your family has the opportunity to return and honor your loved ones in the future.

The cabin was easy to find. It was well stocked. It was pet-friendly, but very clean. The host and management made sure all information was easily received. Parking is easy. The amenities were enough that older kids decided to not even go out for the weekend. We had everything we needed: a sauna, a hot tub, bears to view, so much space, video games, billiards, air hockey, an entire theatre room, pool, games we brought too. There were 8 of us because a few got sick and we had a great time just spending time together (Off electronics!) I even got called the best mom ever by kids 15 and over. That's saying something to the quality of this cabin!
