Brookside House - a secluded 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage with private terrace

Located in beautiful secluded grounds, Brookside Cottage is perfect for a relaxing break or romantic escape.

Combining modern luxury with country charm, Brookside Cottage has a spacious lounge area with wood burner, a fully-equipped kitchen with dining table, two super king-sized bedrooms, along with a private terrace offering idyllic views across the surrounding countryside.

Parking for two cars is available at the cottage, with electric car charging available at the main hotel (fees apply).

The space
Located in the grounds of Farlam Hall Hotel, 12.5 miles south-east of Carlisle and only a few miles from the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hadrian’s Wall, the North Pennines and the Scottish Borders.

Treatments are available to book at our on-site Sycamore Retreat, offering a variety of GAIA Skincare treatments or, if you are looking for something a bit more active then country pursuits such as golf, hiking, fishing, cycling and clay-pigeon shooting are also available locally.

There is a fully equipped kitchen but guests are more than welcome to make a reservation to dine in our Michelin-starred Cedar Tree Restaurant (Wednesday-Saturday) or Bistro Enkel (Sunday-Tuesday).

The property consists of:

- One master bedroom with super-king bed, en-suite bathroom with shower, Dyson hairdryer. With prior notice, this room can be made up as 2 single beds.

- A second bedroom with super-king bed, which can be made up as 2 singles with prior notice.

- A family bathroom with separate bath and walk-in shower.

- A spacious lounge area with wood burner with comfortable sofa and chairs, smart TV, Tivoli Digital radio and a small selection of family games provided.

- A fully fitted kitchen with everything that you would need, including a washer/dryer, Nespresso coffee machine, dining table to seat 4 guests. Basic cleaning up products will be provided.

- Private terrace with bistro style seating for 4 guests. No BBQs or open fires permitted.

Complimentary wifi throughout the property. Linen, towels and robes will be provided, along with Molton Brown toiletries.
