TSOUPIS FARMHOUSE — CORFU
Traditional Agrotourism Residence in Northeast Corfu
Overview
Tsoupis Farmhouse is one of the very few genuine agrotourism stays in Corfu — a traditional stone-and-wood residence set within a private olive grove above Krouzeri Bay. Once a working stable, the property has been carefully restored into a warm, rural Corfiot home that preserves its authentic character while offering comfort, privacy and uninterrupted nature. It is designed for travellers seeking quiet, organic living and the atmosphere of a real Corfiot farm, surrounded by donkeys, chickens, olive trees and the natural sounds of the hillside.
Setting & Atmosphere
The farmhouse stands on the lower slopes of Mount Pantokrator, overlooking the Ionian Sea. Its position inside a private grove creates a secluded, peaceful environment while remaining only a short drive from the beaches and coves of Agni, Krouzeri, Kalami, Nissaki and Barbati. Guests wake to sunrise over the water, spend their days between the grove and the coast, and return each evening to the soft shade of centuries-old olive trees. It is a retreat meant for travellers who value slow living, nature and simplicity.
The House
The residence is divided into two connected buildings.
The main house includes a kitchen, bathroom, an open bedroom with two single beds, a traditional fireplace, and a wooden mezzanine with two additional beds.
The adjacent stone guest house contains a twin bedroom, a small kitchenette and a second bathroom. Together they comfortably host up to six guests, with each building maintaining its own character while remaining close enough for shared living.
Outside, a naturally cool courtyard sits beneath olive trees and flowering plants, offering a quiet space for dining, reading and relaxing throughout the day. A private road leads directly to the property and ends in shaded parking.
The Farm & Nature
The land surrounding the farmhouse is cultivated using traditional organic methods — no chemicals, seasonal pruning, natural fertilisation and harvesting guided by moon phases. Donkeys, chickens and the natural biodiversity of the grove are part of the environment. Guests who wish to connect more deeply with the land are welcome to walk through the terraces and observe small-scale farming activities. This setting is ideal for nature lovers, couples, families with older children and anyone seeking an authentic rural experience.
Nearby Beaches & Activities
Within a short drive lie some of the most emblematic spots of northeast Corfu.
Agni offers famous waterfront tavernas and boat rentals, Krouzeri provides crystal-clear waters, Kalami carries the Durrell legacy, Nissaki is known for snorkelling, and Barbati stretches long along the coast.
Further north, Kassiopi offers a marina, castle and lively harbour.
Guests can explore hidden coves by boat, walk coastal trails, enjoy Corfiot cuisine and visit the UNESCO Old Town — all easily accessible from the farmhouse.
Amenities
The property provides essential comforts including a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, a fireplace, bathrooms in both buildings, outdoor dining areas, veranda seating, private parking, natural shade and basic safety features. The environment is intentionally simple and rustic — a home that prioritises authenticity and connection to nature over modern luxury.
Guest Policies
Due to the rural setting and the characteristics of a working farm, specific policies ensure safety and respect for the environment.
Infants aged 0–1 are welcome at no extra charge, and a baby cot can be provided upon request.
Children from 1 to 7 years old cannot be accommodated, as the terrain, structures and animals present natural risks.
Guests above 7 years old are welcome.
Pets are not allowed, as the farm hosts its own animals.
A minimum stay of five nights applies.
Check-in is at 16:00, check-out at 10:00.
The property measures 120 m² and carries a valid license (AMA 00001511080).
Conclusion
Tsoupis Farmhouse is not a typical holiday rental — it is a rare corner of rural Corfu preserved with care and offered to travellers who appreciate nature, authenticity and the quiet rhythm of traditional island life. It offers the warmth of an old Corfiot farm, the privacy of an olive grove and the charm of a slow-living retreat overlooking the Ionian Sea.
