The Space:
The Maple Suite at The Inn on Jefferson is a masterfully remodeled apartment that perfectly balances 130 years of historic character with high-end modern amenities. As the closest home in Heritage Hill to the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, you are within easy walking distance of Van Andel Arena, the Medical Mile, and an incredible array of local breweries, museums, and nightlife.
Designed for those who appreciate space and style, the suite features two distinct living rooms, a grand piano (access available upon request), and a billiard room in the upper level. For remote workers, a separate, dedicated office area with a desk and chair provides a quiet place to stay productive. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, including a dishwasher and a Keurig with complimentary coffee and tea, alongside a formal dining area.
The primary bedroom offers an owner’s suite experience with a private bathroom, while a second full bathroom is conveniently located off the kitchen. Both bathrooms feature sleek walk-in showers stocked with spa-quality essentials. For your convenience, the suite also includes an in-unit washer and dryer with all necessary supplies. A second king bedroom is located up the stairs.
Our property is designed for effortless winter travel with a fully heated exterior infrastructure. The driveway, parking area, steps, courtyard, and even the city sidewalk are heated to ensure a safe, ice-free experience. One parking space is provided in the driveway right outside your door. The area is shared and may be tight for two large vehicles. If an oversized vehicle does not fit, metered street parking and city ramps are available nearby. Guests can choose between the grand main entrance on Jefferson Avenue or the convenient back door located by the parking space.
To maintain the quality and peace of our historic neighborhood, we observe a strict non-smoking policy and quiet hours from 11 PM to 8 AM.
Please note: The Maple Suite is on the second and third floors of the house. There are several staircases.
Guest Access:
You will have full private access to the entire Maple Suite and one assigned parking space located in our heated driveway. Arrival is effortless with secure keyless entry using your provided code. For the most convenient entry, especially when unloading luggage, we recommend using the back door situated directly next to the parking area. Alternatively, you may use the main grand entrance at the yellow door located off Jefferson Ave. on the front of the building.

Nestled in the historic heart of Heritage Hill, our home at 22 Jefferson Ave SE offers an unbeatable location for your Grand Rapids stay. You’ll be surrounded by the neighborhood's legendary architecture while remaining just steps from the city's pulse. This is the ultimate walkable destination—from here, you can easily reach Van Andel Arena, the Acrisure Amphitheater, and the Medical Mile on foot. The immediate area is a culinary treasure trove, with diverse dining options right outside your door. It’s a peaceful, sophisticated sanctuary with the best museums, nightlife, and culture of downtown Grand Rapids just a short stroll away.
Getting Around:
Downtown Grand Rapids is exceptionally walkable, and you’ll find that many of the best downtown attractions are just a short stroll away. For a faster way to see the sights, Lime scooters and bike rentals are readily available nearby, offering a fun and efficient way to navigate the surrounding neighborhoods.
If you prefer a ride, Uber and Lyft are highly active in this area and typically arrive within minutes. While the suite includes one assigned parking space, additional vehicles can be accommodated via metered street parking along Jefferson Avenue and adjacent streets. There are also several public parking lots and ramps within walking distance that provide flexible hourly, daily, or long-term options.

Entertainment
Our television includes Hulu Live TV for local and cable channels. You are also welcome to use the pre-installed apps (Netflix, Prime, Disney+, HBO, etc.) with your personal login—just remember to sign out upon departure.
Extra Guests
No Problem. We have a Full-sized Ivation EZ Bed ready for action. It’s basically magic: just plug it in, turn the dial, and watch it inflate itself while you stand there looking like a hero. There’s plenty of room in the living room to set up your inflatable empire, and extra linens are waiting for you in the closet.

The Inn on Jefferson is a licensed hotel (License: HM-17-0029). Because we operate under hotel regulations rather than standard short-term rental ordinances, we are fully authorized for both single-night and extended stays, providing you with extra peace of mind regarding your reservation.
