Luxuriöse Skihütte mit herrlichem Blick auf die Berge und das bewaldete Tal darunter !!! Dieses neu renovierte Haus mit 6 Schlafzimmern und 4 Bädern und einem Whirlpool ist über 3500 Quadratmeter groß und bietet Platz für 12 bis 18 Personen. Alle Möbel sind brandneu und werden fast ausschließlich von Crate & Barrel geliefert. Der offene Grundriss und das angrenzende große Hauptdeck machen dieses Haus perfekt, um die Natur zu unterhalten und zu genießen. Dieses Haus ist in einer großartigen Lage für jede Jahreszeit in Lake Tahoe.

Zu den Annehmlichkeiten zählen ein brandneuer Whirlpool, ein Holzofen, eine Waschmaschine und ein Trockner, 3 LCD-Fernseher (2 mit Kabelanschluss), WLAN und ein DVD-Player.

Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet mit einem Gasherd, Granit-Arbeitsplatten und beinhaltet Mikrowelle, Geschirrspüler, Mixer, Toaster, Kaffeemaschine, Kochgeschirr und Geschirr. Die 6 Schlafzimmer umfassen: eine Master-Suite mit Whirlpool, Dusche und privater Terrasse, eine Junior-Suite mit eigenem Eingang, 3 Queen-Schlafzimmer und 1 Schlafzimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten. Darüber hinaus gibt es 3 ausziehbare Queensize-Schlafsofas: 1 auf dem Dachboden, 1 im großen Raum und 1 im Spielzimmer. Bettwäsche, Handtücher und Decken werden gestellt.

Das Spielzimmer verfügt über einen 55-Zoll-LCD-TV, einen Billardtisch und eine Sitzecke sowie Zugang zum angrenzenden Wald, der zum Haus führt.

Die Garage bietet Platz für 2 Autos / SUVs und 2 zusätzliche Fahrzeuge passen in die Auffahrt.

In der Nähe des Donner State Park können Sie schwimmen oder paddeln, campen, ein Picknick machen oder die 3 km langen Wanderwege im Park erkunden. Bring die Keulen mit. Es gibt nicht weniger als 13 Golfplätze in der Umgebung von Truckee. Sie haben Zugang zu nahe gelegenen Sport- / Aktivitäteneinrichtungen (gegen eine geringe Gebühr), darunter ein Freizeitzentrum mit einem Fitnessbereich, Pools und einem Whirlpool, ein Abfahrtsskigebiet (ideal zum Unterrichten von Kindern) und ein Tenniszentrum. Family Fun

We had a great time during this stay, the location was perfect, house was clean and private. The only complaint from my family was there were no extra blankets to use and although we ran the heater, most were very cold throughout the night having to wear extra clothes to stay warm so Matt might want to add warm blankets for winter stays. Other than that is was awesome!

Large clean cabin but could use some attention to detail

Overall good cabin clean, very comfortable beds, kitchen had plenty of dishes and utensils. We had 4 families stay, plenty of beds places for everyone to spread out. Property manager Matthew was extremely responsive as we had a number of issues to resolve-No membership cards, beeping smoke detector, hot tub was not cleaned, several bathroom doors do not close due to frame misalignment, garbage cans were already full, and one burner on the stove did not work.

Thank you for your review, it was a pleasure hosting you and your family.  From time to time guests cause damages and create issues that need to be addressed by contractors and our cleaning teams.  Normally we are able to correct things prior to the arrival of our next guests but in this instance we wanted to accommodate a request for an early check in.  We are pleased that we were able to obtain new membership cards (the prior guests had lost them), clean the hot tub and replace the batteries in the smoke detector within a few hours of check in.  Unfortunately, the bathroom door in the master suite and the one burner on the 4 burner stove needed a bit more time to resolve.  Trash in the outdoor bear bins is removed 1x a week but in the rare instances when they are full (as in this case), the trash area in the garage works well as it is cleared by the cleaning crew.  Thank you for visiting our home!

A great family house!

We found the owners to be quite responsive. The house with four levels included two extra sleeper couches that were not needed for sleeping but were greatly enjoyed for sitting around on. The pool table was constantly in use. The sleeping level below the kitchen and dining room could hear noises from above while the bottom floor was pleasantly quiet. We would happily return to this house given the opportunity.

Family vacation

Wonderful location. House was clean, bedrooms large. Seating in main gathering area was limited. Could seat 5, so we also had to sit on floor to visit. Limited seating on decks. The driveway was pitched such that the parking the rental minivan was challenging. No problem for SUV’s.

Pc Gaming Week

This is our annual PC gaming week. We had 10 people hooked up with no issues. The internet was great. Some minor issues: One shower was hot as the temperature valve was not working. Dear Guest, We sincerely regret that you did not thoroughly enjoy your stay with us. As you know we notified you of some deck maintenance that was in progress in advance of your stay and thought that we had gone above and beyond by providing you with a significantly reduced cost for the inconvenience you experienced while encountering the appearance of certain paint-stripped areas. We were unaware until reading this review that your group experienced issues with spiders. The Tahoe area has many forests and we do from time to time experience encounters with nature. That said, if we had known at any time during your stay of these unfortunate encounters we could have had the cleaning crew remove the spiders from the deck area. At this point, we offer our heartfelt apology. The outdoor deck issues, aside, we do hope your group enjoyed the many other amenities of the property and the surrounding area. Given your comments, we have had our cleaning team review the deck area to remove any cobwebs and deck maintenance is set to conclude this fall on schedule. We hope you can return in the future and share in what most other guests have found to be a wonderful experience in a very special place. Thank you.

Tahoe family trip

The rental property was actually better in person than in the pictures. Very spacious and comfortable for all 18 of us. There were enough bedding and pillows for everyone. Matt was responsive to our needs (ie, additional garbage bags). Downside- downstairs bathroom floor needs more cleaning; windows and doors should all have screens in order to be opened for fresh air; master bedroom mattress needs to be updated; some plates and cups that are cracked and chipped that we found upon arrival should be replaced.

Do not let the pics fool you

When i first saw the pictures i was unsure if it would accommodate the party. But after checking in there was plenty of sleeping room and the home was very nice and updated. Was very happy with our stay. The rooms on the middle floor stayed almost too warm while downstairs was colder as heat rises so i would suggest the people who get hotter easily stay downstairs while the people who like warmer temps stay on the middle floor. Wi fi worked great! Had a great time making memories. Very close to boreal and sugar bowl. Would definitely recommended to qnyone seeking accommodations for larger groups.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay but there were things that should have been better. We waited 1.5 hours to get into the house, cleaning people were still there at 5:30pm and check in was at 4pm. The hit tub was dirty and the temp gauge wasn’t working properly. The cable was out the entire stay when the Olympic s were on which made our grandparents unhappy. Could have been better, not completely satisfied.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to see this review given your time with us but we are happy to see that you enjoyed your stay. To address your notes: As you know, a member of our small cleaning staff was ill and the short-handed team worked to get the house ready following a back-to-back stay. We offered a late check-out and refund to compensate your group accordingly, but unfortunately we insist that the cleaning team complete a thorough checklist between each guest group to ensure cleanliness standards. Regarding the hot tub, it was cleaned and ready for your group's arrival. Pre-check-in photos were taken and the temperature was set to its lowest setting to conserve energy. Following your stay, the tub's jets were closed causing the temperature to rise and the water somehow became dirty. We did not assess any damages given your check-in delay but we are pretty sure the hot tub was improperly used by a member of your group. We are not aware of any cable issues during your stay but acknowledge that Suddenlink outages and equipment failures do occur from time to time and unfortunately these are out of our control.

Very dirty - crusted food on many kitchen items, long black hairs all over and in beds. Couldn't use master bath spa tub, was broken. Owner tried to charge us for dirty water in the outdoor spa that wasn't there when we were occupying it, but backed off when I described the condition we found the home.

Spacious house, but a few issues

The house is an a great location and has lots of comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. The hot tub was fabulous and looks over the trees. There were a few issues that kept it from being 5 stars. The main living space is small and the windows and doors didn't have screens so let bugs in. There was also no grill so we were unable to barbecue as we had planned. The kitchen and dining room are spacious and well equipped but the appliances are older. Would be great for groups that are ok being separate (i.e. kids in the game room) but it was cramped when we were all together. Has great views but important to know that there are lots of stairs and multiple decks so may not be the best for small children.

We believe our property photos accurately represent the communal spaces and have hosted many happy, large groups in the past. We would like to point out that the screens were removed for cleaning during your stay by our cleaning crew but have been replaced. In addition, a gas grill is located at the property in one of the storage areas to protect it from the elements and animals. Lastly, in the wake of your stay, the refrigerator and dishwasher have been replaced with new, stainless steel upgrades. Thank you for your stay and feedback, please come back and visit us again!

dirty, poorly managed house

This house was one of the worst rental homes i've ever stayed at, this house was very hot and didn't have any air conditioning, also there were bugs crawling around the house everywhere, including large spiders, and grasshoppers. Also in some of the bathrooms the bathtubs would not drain properly. There were alot of inconveniences in this house and it was a waste of money.

The location and size were as advertised. Many fun memories were made together. However, many continuous issues came up which interfered with the vacation we had paid for. We were short on bedding and supplies. The jacuzzi was out of order. Extra linens had to be washed in order to use due to stains and looking unwashed. Not to mention we had to call family members to bring us extra bedding.There were careful instructions about use of the hottub but the cover was so dilapidated that some family members wouldn't let their children use it for fear they would be held financially responible for breaking it. When we let the owner know, he said that it was our bad luck that the hottub cover was supposed to have been replaced but there was a delay. However he was quick to return my initial call and try to fix issues, but we actually had to keep trying to solve issues which cut into the enjoyable uninterupped time with our family that we had paid for. A couple of bathroom sinks were slow draining. The last night a little mouse was running around the downstairs. I realize we are in a forest and critters are out there, but in response to all our concerns, the owner offered to reimburse us for our expenses as we had to buy extra TP, laundry soap, foil, etc. I felt it wasnt' a 20 reimbursement issue. It was a hassle issue. It was not receiving what we had paid for as advertised. We made do and had a wonderful time but we wasted hours solving all the issues.

We are disappointed that despite numerous daily visits and discussions with us and our team (including at midnight on the night of check in) we were unable to provide you with the right conditions for an excellent stay. We communicated the delayed new hot tub cover in advance (it has since been replaced) as well as our "starter house supplies". Several other noted issues (mouse, laundry soap, sinks), we don't agree with and are surprised you have noted them. We are happy that your group was able to, in your words, have a "wonderful time" in spite of the challenges you have noted.

Big enough for large family group!

Plenty of room for our large family group! The house was clean with enough bedrooms for the 5 couples in our multigenerational family. This house has lots of stairs, so would not be recommended for those who don’t tolerate stairs. The location is beautiful, high in the hills. We arrived in a snowstorm and needed chains to access property, except for all wheel drive vehicles. We had to use the shovels provided in the garage to clear the driveway before we could park our cars in the garage. Also, the smart thermostat was controlled by the owner remotely, so it was 50 degrees inside until midnight when our messages to the owner finally got through and the heat was turned on. How nice it would have been if they had preheated the house for us. We were cold after shoveling all that snow! Otherwise we truly enjoyed our stay!

Dear Guest - Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you and your family enjoyed their stay. We also appreciate your separate note “Thank for your beautifully maintained and decorated property. It made our stay such a pleasure!” It is unfortunate that you arrived in a late season storm. Snow removal does occur on a daily basis but unfortunately cannot be timed within an hour window during a storm. We are happy, however, you were able to use the shovels/salt provided. For energy saving reasons we do have our cleaning team set the thermostat low but guests are able to raise it easily and most have found it warms the house within an hour or so to 75+. We are sorry as it seems you may have had a different experience. We wish you well in your future stays.

Great owner response

We had two small issues and the owner was responsive immediately. Really easy to work with. We got snowed in with a bunch a little kids so that wasn’t fun but you cannot predict that and if people like skiing it would’ve been fantastic. Traveling from all over the USA to get together, people did not bring snow gear because of the bulkiness in their luggage. Still fantastic to be together.

Great place for a group getaway

This house comfortably accommodated 4 families. The kitchen and dining area are spacious, and great for cooking and serving group meals. Location has easy access to Olympic Valley ski resorts, and we loved hopping in the hot tub after a long day of skiing! The game room at the bottom level was a perfect place for the teens to hang out. House instructions were very clear, and management responded quickly to our questions. Great place to stay!

Truckee Trip

Very clean property with plenty of room for our group. A quiet neighborhood with access to hiking trails and great scenery.

Peaceful Donner Lake/North Lake Tahoe Stay

The property has a great view that definitely boosted the quality of our stay! The communication with the host was prompt, the hot tub was a great addition and it seemed well maintained, and I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a quieter Lake Tahoe stay.

Awesome

My family and i had a really good time at the property. Everything was just as expected. The only negative thing is the beds. My family and i had a hard time sleeping. The mattresses were way to hard.

Beautiful mountain house

This was a great home to stay in. It was about five min from Donner Lake and Truckee. It had lots of comfy beds, nice hot tub, and beautiful view of the forest off the back deck. Our two families had a great time. The kids loved the loft to play in. I felt like I was in a tree house! It would be great for winter too because it is practically next door to Tahoe Donner Ski Resort. I will definitely come back. The owner was available by email and text the entire time and he was very helpful. Also, WiFi was great.

Nice home for a ski and snowboard trip

The home was perfect for our group. Plenty of rooms and showers. The kitchen and kitchen table was big enough for our group. The hot tub cover was the only complaint from our group. The cover is heavy and has no lift assist. Plenty of room and space for entertaining. Driveway plow and back deck shovel service showed up promptly. The hot tub was even serviced during our stay.
