We stayed at this property for two days with 4 adults, a 2-year-old, a 1-year-old, and two elderly dogs. What we walked into at 4 PM check-in was not a vacation rental â it was an active construction site.Construction workers were still clearing debris from the property until 9 PM the night we arrived. There was dust, debris, and an overall sense that the house was nowhere near ready to host guests. This alone would have been unacceptable, but it only got worse from there.There were no keys in the lockbox, which meant we had no way to lock the house whenever we left. That is a serious security issue.Inside the house, sanitation and safety were shocking:âąWe found a razor blade on the floor where our toddlers were playing.âąThe floors were so filthy that our feet were black from walking around.âąThe sheets smelled like body odor and had sand in them.âąThere was leftover food in a kitchen drawer.âąThe dishwasher contained old food.âąThe bathroom sink wouldnât drain after washing my face.âąThe kitchen drawers were broken and wouldnât open.âąA sink handle was missing.âąThe toilet paper holder was hanging off the wall.âąThe chairs were wobbly.âąThe bunk bed frame was snapped.âąFor a ânewly renovatedâ property, every wall was covered in scuffs and marks.This property is being marketed as newly renovated, but it appears poorly maintained, improperly cleaned, and completely unprepared for guests â especially families with young children.
