Surfside I, Unit 204 puts you 75 yards from the beach at 108 E Morningside Drive — a 2-bedroom, 1.5-bath condo with a private patio overlooking the complex’s fenced courtyard, heated hot tub, and seasonally heated pool. Up to 6 guests, in-unit washer and dryer, open-concept kitchen, and a rare ground-floor garage for beach gear.
Surfside I is an Island original — not a brand-new build — but it is set up well, professionally cleaned, and priced to reflect exactly what it is.
The Space:
At roughly 850 square feet, this condo is laid out well for a small group. The kitchen flows open into the dining area and living room, with a glass door leading out to the patio — you move through the space naturally rather than feeling like you’re navigating rooms. The fenced courtyard below is a real bonus for families; it gives kids a contained, safe space to run around while the adults unwind after the beach.
While this condo does require stairs being on the 2nd floor, it is not hard to navigate and affords a better pool view.
The kitchen comes stocked with coffee, filters, creamer, sweetener, tea, non-stick cooking spray, and salt and pepper — enough to get started, but not restocked during your stay, so plan to grab more if you are cooking seriously throughout your trip. Fresh towels and linens are provided on every bed.

That ground-floor garage is a genuinely rare amenity on this island — stow your beach chairs, wagons, paddleboards, and all your gear without hauling it upstairs. A golf cart fits in there too. Most condos on South Padre give you nowhere to put any of that.
The master bedroom is set up for privacy: a queen bed, a smart TV, and an en suite half bath so guests never need to cross the common areas at night. A small walk-thru closet connects directly to the full bathroom for showering.
The guest bedroom has a full sized bed with a pull-out trundle that is a twin sized bed underneath — perfect for families with young kids or a couple who wants a little extra sleeping flexibility.
The living room does have a full sized sleeper sofa & we do provide the “just in case” airbed & pump. Please bring extra bedding if youd like to use the sleeper sofa or airbed, the rest of the beds are all ready to go with linens and bedding.
The kitchen is fully equipped for real home cooking — pots, pans, dishes, all of it — and the eat-in counter doubles as a work-from-laptop spot with included WiFi. A dining table and chairs give the group a second place to gather, and the living room has a sleeper sofa, a side chair, and a large flat screen smart TV for movie nights and board games.
Step outside to the private patio, pour a morning coffee or an evening margarita, and settle into the patio furniture — the view of the courtyard below takes care of the rest. The in-unit stackable washer and dryer means you pack lighter for longer stays, and all-tile floors throughout make post-beach cleanup easy.
Walk out the front and Kelly’s Irish Pub is one block away — with late night eats, the famous Reuben sandwich, and many beers on tap. Two blocks gets you to the Rockin Cigar bar. Three blocks is Captain’s Cove, the new fine dining spot from the owners of Yummies and Viva on the water. Coral Reef Bar for nightly karaoke is four blocks. Head down the beach 400 yards and you hit Clayton’s Beach Bar and Bar Louie.
Walkable for most families about 1 mile away is Sea Turtle Inc, the not to be missed attraction for kids at the largest sea turtle rehabilitation project in the US
A starter supply of soaps and trash bags is included but not resupplied. Beach towels are not provided — bring your own. A bonus queen-sized airbed with an electric pump is also in the unit; bring your own bedding if you plan to use it.

SLEEPING (Up to 6 Guests)
Master bedroom: King bed, smart TV, en suite half bath with sink and toilet, walk-thru closet connecting to the full bathroom. Guest bedroom: Queen bed with pull-out trundle, smart TV, adjacent to the full bathroom with tub and shower. Living room: sleeper sofa (small full bed). Bonus queen airbed with electric pump — bring your own bedding for either. The 6-guest maximum is a hard HOA cap that includes infants and children.
PARKING
Free off-street parking is included — unlike hotels on the island that charge for every car. Fits two small vehicles or one full-size SUV. A golf cart counts as a vehicle toward the two-car limit. No additional guest parking is available at the complex. The ground-floor garage fits a golf cart and all your beach gear but is not sized for a standard vehicle.
A NOTE ON STAIRS
Unit 204 is on the second floor — two flights of stairs, no elevator. If managing stairs is a concern for anyone in your group, please reach out before booking and we will point you toward a better-suited option.

High-speed WiFi is included throughout the condo; please note that Spectrum service can be spotty at times, so come prepared with a hotspot on your phone if you have must-do work as it can go down.

POLICIES
Primary guest must be 23 or older. Guests under 23 require prior approval before booking and a substantial additional refundable damage deposit, if approved at all. A signed digital rental agreement and valid photo ID are required before check-in. You must read and agree to all house rules prior to booking — we are happy to answer any questions before you arrive. Strict cancellation policy applies. No smoking, no parties, no loud music at any time. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 9 AM. The property is security patrolled at night.
