1. Harpers Ferry Historic District (distance from house - 10 mins): Stroll through the Historic District, with its cobblestone streets, old brick buildings, and charming shops. The district is a step back in time, with preserved 19th-century architecture. The Harpers Ferry Train Station is also a noteworthy stop if you love history and old railways. Feeling adventurous? Harpers Ferry has a haunted past, and there are ghost tours available in the evenings. You can explore the darker side of the town's history, visiting old churches, graveyards, and other eerie spots
2. Appalachian Trail (distance from house - 10 mins): Runs through Harpers Ferry, and the town is often considered the "psychological halfway point" for thru-hikers. I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft
We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and this cabin in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
