Very quiet neighborhood in Maunalani Heights in residential neighborhood. You can experience living like the locals. 5 min drive down the hill to popular Waialae Ave in Kaimuki where you`ll find great local restaurants, shops, bars and parks. Easy 5 min access to H1 Highway entrance so driving anywhere is very convenient. Kahala mall and Whole Foods is 7 min drive away/ Waikiki and Honolulu Zoo are 10 min away.
Although there are bus lines (bus #14) which stops about 2 min walk from the house, you really need a car to access what this island has to offer. Bus #14 goes directly to the East side of Waikiki near the Aquarium.
There is another unit above this apartment and you may hear footsteps and noise. If you are sensitive to noise, this apartment may not be for you.
The house is pretty high up on the hill (Maunalani Heights), so there are some hills to drive up to get to the house. Once you are in the neighborhood, you can see a gorgeous view of Diamond Head and amazing blue ocean below.
You are in a lush tropical residential area where you will hear lots of birds and see native geckos outside and sometimes inside the unit. You just shoo them away and they will go away, besides geckos are known to bring good luck. If you are scared of geckos, this unit may not be for you.
This unit is in a tropical environment, if you leave any food out you will attract ants inside of unit. We provide sprays and ant traps upon request. If this is a problem this unit may not be a good fit.
The house is perfect for 2, a little tight but ok for a family of 3. It allows 3 maximum guests. Extra guest fee after 2 people is $10/per person per night.
