Katie, Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review. We are sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience, but we appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. The comfort of our guests here at "Sand Cay" is our first priority. We apologize for any discomfort that you had from a bite. The minute that we were informed, we took immediate action to eliminate the problem, and brought in a "licensed pest management professional" for a thorough inspection and treatment immediately.. Upon inspection. there were no findings of bedbugs in the unit. Also, we are so sorry that something beyond our control such as a ceiling leak occurred while you were staying here with us. It takes time for the ceiling to dry before any repair can be done and to see the extent of the damage, once everything is completely dry. You did receive a refund for the inconvenience regarding these issues. We really appreciate your feedback and do hope that we can welcome you back here at our beautiful resort in the near future.
