Backup Power: GENERAC Generator Information:
In the rare event of a power outage, Muskoka Birch House is equipped with a Generac automatic backup generator to power the whole home to keep your stay comfortable and uninterrupted.

How Long Will It Run?
The generator will start automatically within seconds of a power outage. It runs on propane, allowing continuous operation for days if needed.

What Guests Need to Do:
No action is required. The system runs automatically. You may hear a low humming sound when the generator is active — this is normal.
For safety, do not tamper with the generator unit located outside.

Routine Test Alert
The generator runs a self-test once a week (usually Monday during the day for a few minutes).
