Bright, open, and updated, this Pacific City home will give you a touch of luxury in the private, gated community of Kiwanda Shores. This home sits a quarter-mile from a private beach access point in Kiwanda Shores. You can walk to restaurants less than three-quarters of a mile away). Head over to Green Acres Beach & Trail Rides half a mile south for a nice horseback ride in Bob Straub State Park, or rent a kayak and paddle down the Nestucca River.



This home boasts a gorgeous interior with stainless steel appliances, TVs throughout, and even a gaming console to keep the kids entertained. Outside, you'll be treated to an upper deck that wraps around the house and a private gas grill for summer barbecues.

Great location and clean.

Loved the location and the house was updated and clean. Could have used more dishes. With 8 people staying we ran out of dishes often since we cooked most meals in. Otherwise great!

A family dwelling

Great room/kitchen was spacious allowing room for our family and others to share time together. Cleaning of home was adequate, however a deeper cleaning is needed. Neighborhood was nice, easy walk to beach as well as paved trails leading thru Kiwanda Shores.

Great Place for a Family Vacation!

Great layout for a family and close to the beach. Wish the checkout time was 11:00. It’s hard to get kids up, packed, and out the door by 10:00AM. Other than that, it was great!

Great house!

Very clean, open and accommodating. Very nice and great divide (up and downstairs) for adults and children. Had basic needs. Only issue is no bathtub for kids (not really an issue for us, just a heads up in case you didn’t notice in pictures).

We enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyable stay. Lots of windows made the home bright. Loved the patio running around the house. We did all the cooking in the home. However there were lots of hair on kitchen towels and floors. Otherwise the home was clean and comfortable.

Disappointed

I’ve stayed at several places and this one was not great. It needs ALOT of work. It was not very clean. Needs paint, wall behind toilet repaired from a previous leak, among many things. I won’t be going back to this place in the future.

nice house and updated interior. close to beach and pelican brewery . Quiet neighborhood and most houses are in good shape. The only complaint is poor/old cooking pots and pans and floor still had sand on it when arrived

Great beach getaway

Our family (kids 7 & 4) throughly enjoyed our extended weekend stay at this beach home. It was clean, great layout, beautifully furnished, and a short walking distance to the beach. We appreciated the separation of space for adults and kids as well as the multiple TV options (Cable, Netflix, Disney+, etc). Location was ideal to the beach as well the the small town/Cape Kiwanda/Pelican Pub & Brewery. Beds were comfortable with nice linens. We truly appreciate the price per night (which we hope is kept as such) and definitely look forward to a return visit! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

This is a Vacasa-operated property. The beds were full of sand and hair. The heat didn’t work (they confirmed there were wiring issues). And the kitchen was nearly unusable due to the shocking lack of amenities.

Vacation

The house was very nice and easy to get to. We ended up getting in late so it would have been nice to have a (motion) light in the driveway and walkway to the side door. We were not able to get hot water in the downstairs shower and there was not any dishwasher or laundry soap for us to use. For the most part the house was clean, but the knobs on the stove were greasy.

Worked well for us

My wife and I took our daughter and three of her high school friends to Pacific City and stayed in this house. It was perfect for us because the bedroom downstairs has 4 beds. There is also a living area and bathroom downstairs so we had some peace and quiet upstairs. The house is nicely remodeled, clean and comfortable. It's not on the beach but it's only about a 3 block walk. Also the Pelican pub is only a little over half a mile away so it's an easy walk on the beach to get there. Overall a very nice house and less expensive than a house directly on the beach.

Cute house but you’ll need to bring some things

House was nice, modern and clean. Communication with property management was easy and response quick. If you are expecting kitchen basics, think again. Very limited kitchen supplies - we had to get our own salt, foil, Saran Wrap, sponges/dishcloth and no coffee grinder. There is no access to the garage and no lower outdoor lighting (assume those switches are in the garage) making unloading up 2 flights of outside stairs in the dark a bit treacherous. Overall great stay.

Lots of potential...needs work

The location of the house is great..Can't complain about that. What I noticed right away is that the house was barely clean. There was a layer of dust on a lot of the furniture and it seemed like the bare minimum was done prior to our check in. A lot of things also need to be fixed around the house. A few of the light switches are broken around the house, the microwave doesn't work and the game room as advertised on the photo is locked. It's a great house just needs a few touch ups and presented cleaner.

Terrible

Where to start... I was given an early check in but my code to get in was not working yet. That took 20 minutes on the phone to get in. The sheets were filthy and I had to wash them. The dryer is so loud and pounds against the wall. The tv was broken. We had no heat. The kitchen sink is falling apart. Dirty socks in the closet. Hair in kitchen drawers. All the dishes and pans were filthy. I will never stay at a vacasa property again. They gave us a 50 refund for no heat. We were freeaing! What a joke!

Good house and Great Location but no extras

We had a great stay in August at this house. The house is as pictured and in good condition, easy and short walk to the private beach and close to Pacific City. The kids loved the double bunk beds downstairs although the upstairs queen size beds were not especially comfortable. The kitchen was stocked well enough however we were surprised to find no salt & pepper or other similar items available. In a small ocean town with limited restaurants it meant we had to go buy all such items and then haul them back. There is no welcome binder for the area or house and no pillows on the couch or such either. Although these are somewhat minor items, in a pandemic and after staying in a o many rental houses they are an inconvenience.

False advertising

We paid over $1500 for three nights for New Year’s Eve weekend and booked this place because it showed the garage was a play room for kids with a basketball hoop set and others toys and games (and had it in the description). We pull in and the garage is locked and we talk with the property manager and they said “sorry, the owners decided to close it and use it as storage for them after stuff was stolen a while ago”. My question was why didn’t this get changed immediately so people didn’t get duped like me and the family? Not to mention the garbage was 3/4 full and could only fit one bag of garbage in the bin outside for three nights. Then the power went out and water stopped for a bit. So in conclusion...we paid for a product that allowed us adults to have the kids play in a 350 sqft room made for kids with toys and instead had a weekend having the kids play in the kitchen and dining room. We had bags of trash in the house because the garbage was full and putting bags of trash outside where seagulls get into it didn’t work. We ended up leaving the day before checkout because we had enough after the power went out and water wasn’t working properly (so we paid over $1500 for 2 nights actually). We are working on getting a credit back for all of this turmoil and haven’t heard back.
