Home was clean. Kitchen was equipped with basic appliances like rice cooker, coffee maker, Tupperware ,ice packs ,small cooler bags ect. It had boogie boards for all family members,some sand toys, beach chairs,umbrellas as well as some fins for snorkeling. I would have expected 1-2 extra blankets so we don't have to share with other people. We prefer individual blankets. Overall We enjoyed our 1 week long stay here.

We had a wonderful stay. The property, amenities, location, all matched the description. Beautiful grounds and vegetation. Three great beaches just across the street. Easy access to bus routes and a short walk to shops and restaurants. The unit was very comfortable with nice furnishings and a well stocked kitchen. Extremely clean. We highly recommend this property and hope that we can stay there again.

This was our second time staying at this condo. We loved it the first time and loved it once again. It has the best location right across the street from Kam 3. It's well appointed and everything is there that you need. Coolers and beach chairs. We bought a new boogie board because we broke the one the condo provided, sorry. Overall a great place to stay. Can't wait for the next time.

This particular rental was the worst of them. Bathrooms had had up dates but the kitchen was awful. The whole place just felt a little dark and dreary. The kitchen cabinets were quite dirty and I wiped down outsides. The glass on all the living room and dining room furniture was streaky and looked like it had not been cleaned. Luckily we had come as a family and my daughters rental was much better so spent all of our family time there. Also on last day it was no problem getting a late check out on my place which was probably the one high light of this rental.

Kamaole Sands reception staff are professional and the grounds are very nice and close to many amenities like fantastic beaches. Our particular rental needs to have replacement washer and dryer and microwave. The dishwasher was so strange it was hard to figure out how to start it and the buttons are where you can not see them when turning on. We had little ants in addition. This location is nice, but we will rent another unit next time we come - looking for some updated appliances. Maybe less ants if we rent on a higher floor?

Got our moneys worthy

My family enjoyed the condo. We loved the security of the key pad entry, to the condo, the pool and the outside gate. My only complaint was the Master bathroom shower head. It would not stay up, it fell & bonked me on the head. Also look like when I tried to put it back up it was coming out of the wall. Did not bother my daughter a bit. One other thing, my grandson slept on the fold out bed. There was no place in the living room for his clothes.I would maybe suggest a small dresser under the lip of the kitchen counter, by the telephone. Over all we loved the condo & the near by beach. Life was good.

Cannot see the ocean from here, which to me doesn’t matter. Easy beautiful walk down to S Kiehi road, straight into Kamaole beach park 3. If you are a morning walker you can’t beat this spot.The unit was clean, but could use some updating. I was unable to get the bedroom air conditioner to work, but we didn’t need it. Trade winds easily move the air through this unit. The bed was not an issue for me, slept fine. Never had any issues with insects. Units here are serviced by outside services pest control regularly. Only reason I can’t give this a 5 are the small reasons mentioned. That said we already booked this unit next year!!

Not what I was promised.

Upon arrival it seemed nice, when it was time to go to sleep we went to pull out the couch bed and it was broken. 1 guest slept on the couch and the other ON THE FLOOR for the first 2 nights of our stay until it was fixed. The microwave also fritzed out half way through the trip, and they had to bring a replacement. The ONLY bathtub had a bent drain, so I couldn’t give my 4 year old baths. And the disheasher would not work for us when we tried to run it. I would NOT recommend this VRBO renter, as it is obvious they do not THOROUGHLY check the apparent between guests. Our floor was also filthy, the lines between the tiles were a dark grey when they should be white.

One thing to consider is building 5 directly faces west, so starting in the afternoon the sun starts beating in and makes the lanai and front area of condo hot and very sunny! Kamaole sands resort itself is absolutely beautiful, we’ve stayed in many different units throughout the years but this one definitely left us underwhelmed. VERY dated unit: popcorn ceiling, yellow/brown sponge paint throughout the unit made it feel dark/dingy, kitchen cabinets are sticky/tacky like they’ve been painted too many times, all furniture except the new sofa is all very worn, the cushions on the wicker dining chairs and the bedroom mattress desperately need replacement, very poor/dim lighting throughout the condo. There is a 2 hour timer on the AC unit which becomes inconvenient. We came home one afternoon to the unit being 86 degrees and takes about 30 minutes to cool down. You need to continuously turn the dial on the timer to make sure the unit stays comfortable. Other small inconveniences: the plastic handle on the outside of the lanai door is cracked so there’s really no handle to easily open it, the WiFi signal is very poor and doesn’t reach the bedroom and all the soap containers are refilled with mostly water. Check in process was great and Rentals Maui was kind enough to text us when the unit was ready 2 hours early. Check out process ended up being a bit more complicated than expected, but Cassandra was helpful in resolving the issues. Be advised although the check out instructions are somewhat vague, the cleaning crew expected the unit to be pretty much spotless. Also they keep an EXACT inventory list down to every fork and spoon, so be sure to replace everything exactly where you found it. Although we love Kamaole Sands, we would not stay in this particular unit again.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rental property is in a location that we both really enjoy. We like long walks in the morning and the easy access to Kamaole park 3. The grounds at this complex are beautifully maintained. The condo itself in my opinion needs some updating. The hideabed was replaced from last year and the table. My biggest issue was the beds mattress. I am nearing 69 so my preference for comfort may differ from someone younger but waking up all night in discomfort from the bed has had to make me not return here. I can deal with broken floor tiles and a tub that was spray painted to cover the rust but a good nights sleep is too important to me. It is one of the most reasonably priced units at Kamaole sands.
