Historic Fort Greene Brooklyn is located in the heart of downtown Brooklyn. The neighborhood is characterized by beautiful brownstone buildings and hip bars and cafes. There’s a varied restaurant scene, with everything from African and Caribbean food to vegan diners. Barclays Center, a massive arena that hosts concerts and sports events, is a neighborhood landmark as well as the anchor for a variety of shops and restaurants, including a Target. Another local gem is sprawling Fort Greene Park, where you can sprawl out in the sunshine or get in some exercise. You’re also a short walk away from the Brooklyn Academy of Music, a great venue for arts performances and indie films. Fort Greene is served by several subway lines for easy access into Manhattan.
