Other nearby attractions include Lake James, Table Rock, Wilson’s Creek, Linville Falls, Linville Gorge, and South Mountain State Park. Asheville and Blowing Rock are just an hour’s drive. The space: - 300sqft geodesic dome situated between the woods and a newly planted lavender field - Deluxe queen bed for 2, with a single cot available upon request - Shower under the trees in your private outdoor bathroom complete with instant hot shower, hand sink, and AirHead composting toilet. - Pre-heated wood-fired hot tub, perfect for an evening of melting away stress, or a sunrise dip - Patio with table, 4 chairs, separate fire pit - Flat top propane griddle and grill utensils - 5,000 watts Jackery power system and solar panels - plenty for your phones, hair dryer, laptop, etc - Beverage station complete with teas, hot chocolate, cider and locally roasted coffee from Little Guatemala Restaurant. - Iced up Pilot Outdoors double insulated cooler - Plates, bowls, utensils, mugs, towels, washcloths included - Telescope, multiple lenses, folding stool, instructions - Diesel heater pre-heated and refueled as needed, solar powered ceiling vent fan Please note: We are growing our farm and recovering our land from Hurricane Helene. There are various farm and beautification projects in process, and we appreciate your understanding that it’s a work in progress. We work hard each day to build our dreams for this land, and your stay not only helps us to achieve that but also means the world to us. Guests have full access to the dome area and their patio space. Prior to your stay, please message us any time should anything come to mind. We are excited to host you and will do what we can to ensure you have a wonderful stay. During your stay we are available to assist you 24/7 via text or the walkie talkie provided in your dome. We will default to respecting your privacy, but would be delighted to chat with you in person if you like, as we enjoy meeting people and guests are often interested in our off-grid lifestyle. We do not allow pets on the property, for the safety of our livestock and wildlife. Smoking of any kind, including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, e-cigarettes, herbs, vape, etc. is not allowed inside the dome. Smoking of all kinds is absolutely welcome outside, and we have provided a butts receptacle. No open flames inside the dome. Please let us know if you anticipate a late arrival and we will hide the key for you. We ask that you please take your shoes off inside to reduce the transfer of our Carolina red clay, and we recommend you bring slippers or flip flops for your comfort inside. The dome is an elevated glamping experience packed with comforts. Your dome is a very clean space, with fresh linens, clean dishes, and a scrubbed down hot tub. The dome and outdoor shower are not 100% sealed off from the outside and the occasional bit of nature might be present.
